After spending a few more days in Langton, Shao Ci was overwhelmed by the locals' enthusiasm. People showered him with flowers, and shop owners handed him bouquets, regardless of his purchases. Even those in a rush seemed to approve.

While Shao Ci admired Yuvens for making the dream a reality for the entire city, the constant attention became unbearable for him.

Wendell, sensing Shao Ci's discomfort, suggested leaving. After bidding farewell to Earl John, the party continued with a more comfortable carriage provided by the Earl.

This time, the carriage was a significant improvement, but Shao Ci, the sole occupant, struggled to catch his breath even with minimal exertion.

Desperate, Shao Ci's body felt strained from the casual fast-forwarding by the system over several years.

Fortunately, the journey from Langton City to the Sacred Capital was smooth and less bumpy, estimated to take only four or five days.

During the journey, Wendell, concerned about Shao Ci's potential boredom, engaged him in conversation about the holy capital.

The Sacred Capital was described as an empty city, believed to be the closest place to God. Accessible only through teleportation arrays and special scrolls, it was considered the lifelong dream of clergy members. Ordinary people, even kings, could never enter. Yet, exceptional individuals like Shao Ci could even see the pope directly.

Shao Ci, having seen gods before, wasn't particularly excited about this sacred capital. His concerns lingered on the realistic implications of the monster contract.

As Shao Ci pondered, a figure silently appeared beside him. Without turning, Shao Ci impatiently said, "Yuvens, why are you out again?"

The gorgeous young man with dark hair and red eyes lay on Shao Ci's thigh, expressing, "Master Brave, I am so bored."

Shao Ci retorted, "This is not the time to play with you; go back!"

Aware that Yuvens could manifest in reality before leaving Langton City, Shao Ci rarely allowed him out. Yuvens, accumulating dissatisfaction, now sought attention.

Yuvens lazily dismissed Shao's concerns, stating, "No one else is here."

Shao Ci hushedly replied, "No, Wendell is outside!" Carefully looking out, despite the drawn window curtain, he feared Wendell might catch a glimpse in stronger winds.

"Yeah," Yuvens grumbled. "Master Brave only cares about that man and doesn't spend enough time with me. I'm not happy," he said, holding on to Shao Ci and nestling in his arms.

Shao Ci awkwardly responded, "Am I not with you every night?" Realizing the unintended implication, he explained the frequent dreams and intimate encounters.

Fortunately, Yuvens understood the need for discretion during the day, and Shao Ci could leave earlier to avoid dark circles under his eyes.

Despite Yuvens' tough exterior, he seemed even more demanding now.

"It's not enough at night, and Lord Brave doesn't allow me to go into other people's dreams. It's really boring to die every day," Yuvens complained, reaching over Shao's collar and loosening a shirt button to reveal a white neck.

Shao Ci, alarmed, tried to stop Yuvens quietly. The resistance seemed trivial given Shao Ci's strength and the need for discretion.

Although Shao Ci could use the contract to force Yuvens to stop, it required significant mental energy, and using it in such a place would be wasteful.

Shao Ci glared at Yuvens, saying, "That's what you promised... oh..."

Yuvens whispered in Shao's ear, "No matter what, when we met, it was just a dream, wasn't it? In reality, I haven't been close to Lord Brave for a long time..."
