Chapter 29: Frienships or Betrayal

Girl 1: what can we expect from a girl like Kushi , you can understand by the way she dress, typical nerd !!

Kushi stood frozen outside payal's room. She had come here to sort out the misunderstanding with payal but now she is hearing these comments about her from payal's room. The door was still closed , so she didn't knew who were these people . It's definately not payal's voice.

Girl 2 : Don't be fooled by her , she knows what she is doing exactly. She knows what boys need , innocence?
She is portraying just that.

Isn't it her classmate Harshada's voice? Kushi's leg shook. Kushi convinced herself that payal might not be there with them because she would have definately stood for her.

Harshada: I don't know , what parth see's in that behen ji. He doesn't even look at me, no matter what and how I try. It's so annoying..

" they are just friends "
Kushi can hear payal atlast.

Harshada : oh common payal , everyone knows what they are. You have to say friends with benifits. Parth would never be only friend with such a girl , he deserves better . He is definitely using her for his pleasure.

Harshada and the other girl started giggling and Kushi's tears were unstoppable. She stood there for sometime waiting for her best friend to react. But there was nothing. All she heard was laughter.

With the shaky legs she made her way to her room and cried her heart out. She felt humiliated. She wanted to slap payal and get her back to senses. The taste of betrayal was very bitter and painful.

She had no idea when the sleep consumed her. In the morning , she felt as if her whole body was drained out of energy. She didn't wanted to get up from the bed. All harsh words from yesterday pained like a fresh bruise.

Her phone kept ringing. It was parth. She didn't wanted to talk to him so she kept staring blankly at her phone without answering his call. It was already 11 am . She anyway did not wanted to attend college .

It was fourth time Parth was calling now. She felt very uneasy. She felt as if something is going wrong . She wanted to answer parth's call but the way those girls spoke yesterday was making her uncomfortable.

Then her phone vibrated , this time she had got a text from parth. Upon reading it , she got up abruptly and hurriedly changed into the jeans and hoodie which she could grab in one go from her cupboard.

She ran out of her room and messaged back parth. She was almost running at full speed now. She was trying to book a cab along side and suddenly someone grabbed her hand.

She looked up to Arnav sir with his scrunched eyebrows holding her hand.

Arnav sir : Are you deaf? Didnt you hear me calling your name? Why didn't you attend my class today and where are you going in such a hurry ?

Kushi : sir , Im in hurry , please let me go.. ( she tried to free her hand )

Kushi 's phone rang again and Arnav sir could see parth's name flashing on screen. Arnav sir's grip tightened on Kushi's hand. Anger evident on his face.

Arnav sir with scary voice : where the hell are you going ?

Kushi shivered under his strong voice and angry face.

Kushi : sir .. parth's mom.. is admitted in hospital. I need to go to him..

Arnav sir  left kushi's hand and his face softened.
