Chapter 11: Back to square one

Parth's POV:

Kushi missed her classes today, I wanted to ask payal about it, but she entered the class just before Arnav sir came in, so i didn't get the chance to inquire with her.

I texted kushi in whatsapp "hey, are you not coming" and got tensed seeing her last seen, it was yesterday at 7:45. Oh god! Where is this girl.

I couldn't concentrate during the whole class and my eyes were drifting back to her empty seat.

After Arnav sir left the class, I went to payal
Me: Hey payal, Kushi didn't come?
Payal: she is a bit unwell and feverish
Me: ohh! That's bad
Payal: ahh, if you don't mind parth, I have asked kishan bhaiyya to get medicine and some stuff for her. I thought of going to give her ,
in a break, but I'm busy with lab work, will you be able to deliver it to her, if you are free?
Me: sure payal (excited)
Payal: okay then (observing me and then smiling)

Was I too excited with my answer, did payal take me in the wrong way?
I shrugged these thoughts. And went along with classes

I called kushi in break to give her the bag which kishan bhaiyya had already brought, but she is not picking up the call. I asked payal what to do. Payal replied, "she might be sleeping, lets wait for some more time"

At around 4pm, I finally got kushi's message.

Kushi's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, my body felt little light from yesterday. I looked at the clock its 4pm already. I slept like a kumbakarn, I can't really blame myself. I had fever and top of it the periods. My god!

I opened my phone and there was so many misscalls from parth and payal. So i texted both of them that I'm awake now. Parth replied in a second that he needs to give me the medicine which payal asked to deliver. So, i asked him to meet me beside the canteen which is nearest to our university.

It is a 5 min walk for me from my hostel to the place, I and parth decided to meet.
When I reached there he was already waiting for me.

Parth : here you come, how are you feeling now.
Me : better then yesterday, anything imp today that I missed?
Parth: not anything importat but if you want to know then Rahul fought with Deepak. Full on wrestling, punches were blown.
Me : why did they fight?
Parth : Deepak pranked rahul as a girl in social media.
Me: whatt?
Parth: yea, so you missed the entertainment Miss Gupta ( handing over the bag).
I laughed taking the bag.

Parth : i was paasing by the store and i brought you this.

It was big kit kat, He handed it to me.
My smile widened.

Me : I have made quite good friends now, haven't I?

Parth : yeah very kind hearted friends you have got. You are one lucky girl

I laughed and felt someone watching me, but when i saw in all directions there was no one.

I came back to room happily munching kit kat. I opened the bag and there was the medicine for my migrane and fever with the packet of chips and chocolates. "I love you payal", I said happily opening the packet of chips unaware of the strom which was waiting for me next day.

As I lay on my bed at night. The thoughts of previous day clubbed my head. What a blunder i have done. What Arnav sir will think of me now? a mentally retarted person? Yeah probably. I closed my eyes to shrug off the embarressment.

But as soon as I closed my eyes his smiling face appeared infront of me and a smile appreared on my face too. But as I remebered what I had said " you look good while you smile" my embarressment doubled and I hit my head with pillow and then dug my face in pillow and slept.
