Chapter 15

Sanzu's POV

As usual, after Mikey drifted off to sleep, I stepped out of the room and leaned against the couch. With a deep breath, i loosen up my tie and roll over my sleeves to my elbow.

The headquarters is now quiet. I know they're already having fun again. Besides, they're all friends. Funny how they treat themselves as friends when in this world... You can only trust no one but yourself.

I got up for a moment as I decided to get something to drink for a moment. That was when I was interrupted by the sound of door creaking. I glanced at the corner of my eyes only to see Koko holding a piece of paper.

"Oh, you're here. I thought you're with Rin— oh, nevermind" He spouted

I raised an eyebrow to his comment. Is he telling me that I'm usually with Rindou? It's so fucking stupid to hear.

I turn to leave and just decided to ignore him but then his voice makes me stop at my tracks again.

"Since you're here already, how about I explain things to you? You can just tell it to Rindou." He uttered, his voice firm as if he's not kidding at all.

"Why it has to be me? Explain to Rindou, I'm not interested" I refused, about to approach the elevator but then heard him talk again.

"You are interested, Sanzu. Because it's your mission. This will be the first time Rindou will be paired with someone who's not his brother and not as his back-up anymore. You shouldn't waste it" he reminded me like some kind of mother scolding me right now.

Just who the hell does he think he is?

I took a step closer, my height looming over him as I glanced down at him.

"Do you think I fucking care? I could've just cut off his throat and no one will ever notice. Or maybe you... Can notice" I warned, my gaze sharp, filled with threat but I could see his expression unchanged.

"But you won't do anything for someone as scaredy rat like you" I added only to receive nothing but stare from him.

Rindou... It's always Rindou... Ever since he pest my life, I always end up thinking about him.

And I won't allow that

"Okay, are you done?"

"What?"

I was taken aback by his calmness. He then just push over the paper on my chest, making me hold it in order not to drop on the floor.

"But it's settled. He will be your partner. Tomorrow night, you will do your move. There will be party held by Dimitri and if you're not busy right now and craving for someone to murder, I could give you another job" he starts to explain and it just makes me look like a fool

I was speechless. Threatening him is useless. He's been in the gang before as well and he's one of the people who stay longer because of his ability to steal money without anyone noticing

"Look at those papers. Those are few people that are invited to his event. You can just kidnap atleast two guys so that you can get their VIP ticket." He added, his arms crossing as I began looking at these papers in my hand.

"I just need their VIP Tickets?" I asked

He nods as he began to walk towards the couch. My gaze followed him and just stood there quietly

"That's right. You need it in order to get in. I'm pretty sure there will be security guards everywhere that might ask you anytime you enter other rooms in that event" he explained once more without glancing at him.
