In the next two weeks, Itadori found his way to the hearts of all the people at the Jujutsu High. He got along with Megumi so well, even tho Megumi himself wouldn't accept that fact. From the very start, he felt like family to them, especially connecting with Nanami and Gojo. You could guess that was because he saw fatherly figures in both of them since he didn't have one in his life. It was all too sweet to watch. The boy being taught the basics of jujutsu, strictly by Nanami and then playfully by Gojo. The two simply had to get along to help the new student. And it was visible that they made their life mission to support him.
The time passed as peaceful as it can at the Jujutsu high. The end of September was close which meant Kumi's birthday was coming up. She didn't think much of it since she'd be turning twenty-four and she thinks she's outgrown the huge parties, like she ever had any in the first place. She thought of having dinner and some drinks at a restaurant with a couple of people.
-Have you thought about your birthday celebration, Kumi?- Shoko asked as they were sitting in silence outside of the building they worked at.
-Nah, I don't want anything special.- she responded looking in the distance. It was a particularly sunny day considering it's almost October.
-Come on! You never celebrate. Live a little.- the woman joked pushing the other slightly with her shoulder. Kumi just sighed smiling lightly. -Let's go somewhere!- she pressured.
-Where?- Kumi asked finally turning to her friend and pushing black strands of her hair back so she had a clear view.
-I dunno...- Shoko chuckled inhaling the smoke as she usually does. -Maybe Gojo has an idea.- she smiled stretching her hand out and waving to the tall man who was walking along with Yuji.
-Hi, ladies. What are you two up to today?- he asked cheerfully while kicking a rock on the ground.
-We wondered if you have some ideas for Kumi's birthday party.- she poked Kumi once more with her elbow trying to make her cheer a bit.
-A birthday party?! I love birthday parties!- Yuji jumped with such enthusiasm. -If I'm invited, of course, Kumi-san.- he froze for a moment and then apologized. This boy was just precious.
-If I organize one you'll be invited, Itadori-kun.- Kumi laughed.
-Don't bother organizing one, I'll do it!- Gojo jumped in. Kumi sighed in response. -I always have good parties! Isn't that right?- he said playfully.
-Can I help you, Gojo-sensei?- Yuji shouted following the same energy. Shoko broke laughing.
-Of course, you can! We'll choose decorations and the cake and everything will be perfect!- he shouted back jumping like a little girl.
-Gojo...- Kumi tried interrupting his fantasies but with no success. They were already running to the dorm screaming like children. -I guess it's settled then...- she laughed looking at Shoko who was almost choking by now. -You are a bad friend you know that.-
-I still can't believe how you let Gojo plan your birthday party...- Nanami sighed taking a turn in a car on the way to the actual party. He wasn't against it but he knew it would be something outrageous as usual.
-It just happened.- Kumi laughed following the GPS system on her phone so they don't miss the address.
-This will be a complete disaster.- he chuckled parking the car in front of the karaoke bar. -I've told you this was a bad idea.- he confirmed reading the sign on the front door.
-Oh it can't be that bad.- Kumi laughed walking around the car and to Nanami's side -Oh fuck.- she said as the two of them stood in front of the karaoke bar dressed like they were going to the black-tie event. His usual beige suit and she was in a skinny green dress with big golden loop earrings. -Well, we're here to have a fun time...- she laughed taking his hand and walking inside.
