Jimmy strode across the landscape towards Grian's base, a goat-horn clutched in his hand. The Ranchers had struck a deal with Pearl. In exchange for food, she had promised to help them get goat-horns so they could finally be a part of the Horn Club. Jimmy smiled as he thought back to when he and Tango had both blown their identical horns at the same time. His smile grew bigger when he imagined the look on Grian's face when Timmy showed up with a horn of his own. He felt on top of the world!

"Grian." Jimmy approached the half finished structure that Grian was building. "I have something that will make your skin crawl."

Grian turned to face him. "I think I know what it is." He raised his goat-horn to his lips. "DOO DO DO DOOO!"

Jimmy grinned and lifted his own horn. "DO DOO DOOO!"

"You got the reply!" Grian exclaimed.

"Yes, I got the reply and I've been doing it happily." Jimmy's joy was palpable, but his smile quickly fell at Grian's next words.

"You know, the horns are a lot less  fun now that you have one."

"What? N-no, I have a horn now. I'm part of the club... Right?"

     Grian smirked.

Jimmy closed the ranch gate behind him, trying desperately to hold himself together. His conversation with Grian had only gotten worse. It had ended with Jimmy storming off and Grian laughing. Jimmy just wanted to be accepted.

"Jimmy?" Tango's voice broke through his thoughts. "You look upset. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Jimmy mumbled, not meeting Tango's eyes.

"Are you sure?" Tango asked, not letting up.

     "It's stupid." Jimmy muttered.

"Jimmy." Tango said seriously. "If it's upsetting you this much then it most certainly isn't stupid. Come on. Let's go inside." Tango took Jimmy's hand and guided him into the ranch's main house and the two of them sat Down on the bed. "This is about the horns, isn't it?"

"It's just... Everyone else had a horn when I didn't, and when I finally got one, Grian told the others not to respond to mine. And since we have the same one, they won't respond to yours either." Tango put an arm over Jimmy's shoulders, and that was all it took. Jimmy broke, and Tango hugged him even tighter.

"Jimmy, Listen to me. I promise that when ever I can I will answer your horn." Jimmy turned his head to look at Tango, whilst staying firmly in his embrace.

"Really?" Jimmy asked in shock. "You would do that? For me?" Tango smiled warmly at him.

"Of course I would. You're my soulmate, my rancher." Jimmy smiled and leaned back into Tango. The fact that there was at least one person out there that genuinely cared about him, listened to and calmed his worries, and valued his opinion meant more to him than he could ever express.
