Let's Journey Again?

Luffy's Eternal Torture of No Food for 2 Minutes-

(A/N) Hii! This is my first One Piece fanfic ever! Ever! 😭 Bear with me as I struggle to write fanfiction from the POV of a human.. Soooo yeah :P This is going to be weird calling Luffy by a different name.. If you would like a dedication, let me know! :D 

Luffy is extremely similar to his canon version, but minus the straw hat and the scar. You could also imagine him any way as long as he has black hair. :) He has Armament and Observation Haki as he started training himself once he was old enough. (Oop I gotta find a way to not make him overpowereddd...)

      The young boy sat at the edge of the cliff, staring off into the water. He was lost in his thoughts of past adventures, that were his, yet weren't.

     "Hayatooo! I fell!" A small, raven-haired girl burst out into tears.

     His thoughts paused. Since when was he so serious? He inwardly sighed. He has to get used to this name. 16 years later, and he still felt like the only name that belonged to him was Luffy.

     "You'll be okay, Arie! It's just a scratch! Come on, let's go inside!"

     He had good intentions, but then smelled something.

     Something good.

     He scooped Arie into his arms and ran off, leaving a cloud of dust behind. She squealed at how fast they were going. Meanwhile, Luffy was shouting 'Meeaaaaaaaaat' because, well, there may or may not have been a barbecue going on...

     "Hayato!" she grumbled as they neared the fire. "Remember? You were going to help me because I hurt myself!" She pouted and let out a huff of disappointment.

     "Aww... I was going to go get some meat! I'm staaarving!!" But he still grabbed a band aid and put it over her small cut, before rushing off towards the delicious smell. "Food, I'm coming for youuu!!" As he ran off, he spotted moss on a rock, and couldn't help but shout, "Hi Zoro!" with a cheeky smile. And just thinking about Zoro set off his memories like dynamite, of the ship they sailed on, of the crew he had, of the battles he fought. It gave him a bubbly feeling from deep inside. 

     It's been 16 years. I can't wait any longer! I have to set out and find my crew!

°°°°° 1 week later °°°°°

     Luffy's backpack was almost too big to fit out the door, but he managed it. He snickered when he remembered when, after 2 years of training, Boa Hancock had sent him off to Sabaody with many an items. He paused to take a deep breath. Salty ocean air filled his lungs as he stepped down to the beach where the small boat waited. His younger sister and his parents watched from afar. They knew when he was little he wanted to be a pirate, and though they tried every way to dissuade him, his mind was set. And so now Luffy turned around to wave back at his family.

     "Be safe!"

     "Remember to study hard!"

     "Remember you can always turn back before you commit a crime!"

     The boat seemed to call to him and he climbed in. He felt the spirit of the Going Merry and Thousand Sunny as the waves dragged him out to the exciting adventure of the sea. His first stop was to visit the graves of his crew. Or- the graves of his past crew? Luffy stopped dwelling on it because if you think too much you can die, and stole away with a piece of meat from his backpack. I wonder if I can get another straw hat... But it wouldn't feel right with a different one. His home island was already out of sight and Luffy was looking for something to do when the sea started shaking. Violently. And suddenly Luffy was teleported from the boat to the water. As he splashed around yelling 'I'm going to die, I'm going to die! I can't swim!,' a Sea King appeared from the water. 

     And then Luffy remembered. He didn't eat a Devil Fruit in this life yet. He can still swim. Buut that raised another problem. How could he protect himself from a Sea King when he didn't even have anything? Besides Haki. All he can do is avoid the Sea King's giant jaws until he can land a hit. 5 minutes later, he's swum behind it's vision and bonked him out.

     "Sanji! I caught a huge Sea King!" he cries in pure joy that he doesn't have to deal with it anymore (it was becoming annoying, because how do you cook a Sea King without a Sanji there to cook it??). Oh wait. Sanji doesn't exist. (Dramatic pause)

      At least, not the original Sanji. And he's not here. Now what do I do with this... As he sat there, the Sea King sank into the ocean, never to be seen again. Oh. Problem solved.

      Luffy was sleeping (very loudly) when his ship hit something. He sleepily got up and rubbed his eyes, still half asleep. He had been dreaming of a world where it was all made out of food (mostly meat though, we all know how he is). He gasped in surprise (and joy). The island he had bumped into... was made of food!

     Wait. It was just the remnants of his dream. It was actually a simple island with a simple town. It reminded him of... Loguetown? How? He had already attained 4 crew members before he gotten here, but he was alone.

     "Already this far?! I'm gonna become the King of Pirates even faster this time!"

     He had already attained 4 crew members before he had gotten here, but he was alone. Luffy leaped off the ship landing roughly on the stone pavement. Hopefully no one's left behind!  He ran into town, the smell of food filling his nose. There was one thing he had to do first...

     "FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!"
