chapter 8

TW: sexist men.

The next moring i woke up with all my muscles sore from all the walking i had done the prior days. i slowly turned my head towards the other side to see if Kayan had already woken up. to my suprise he was not only awake But gone too.

i mean im not complaining last night was pretty embarrissing. i got out of bed not wanting to think back to the moment. i brushed my hair to look a bit more presentable. and walked down stair in search of the kitchen.

I had been wandering around the castle for quite some time now but i still hadn't hadn't found the kitchen

I was now in a part of the castle that was much darker and the wall seemed much darker. I was in a dark hallway. Whrn i suddenly heard a blood curling scream coming from one of the doors behind me.

I turned around and sundely saw a Goblin with my dagger in his head surounded by a puddle of blood. It was the same goblin as in the forest.
What in the lights is going on?!

I quickly scramble further away from the puddle. My back hits the wall and pull up my knees to my head. i bury my head on my knees and start gripping my hair. This can't be happening, this isn't real. I kept saying to my self.

Suddenly two hand grabbed my shoulders. I jerked away from thye sudden touch and looked up to see who it was. it was Beth. "Hey look at me its not real. its just an hallucination, come with me." She Grabbed my hand and pulled me up from my position.

When i looked over to the place were the goblin had been just moments ago it was now emty. I must be going mad.

I didn't realy pay atention to were Beth was taking me. We were now in the normal looking part of the castle. Beth opened a door what led to a kitchen. "Here, have something to eat." She gave me a plate with a sandwich on it. I stared at the sandwich for a little while. i wasn't realy hungry anymore after the incedent in the strange hallway.

I eventually i decided to eat my sandwich wich was pretty delicious. I was halfway done with my sandwich when suddenly i wondered, how did Beth know that i was seeing things. "Beth?" "yes miss?" "How did you know that i was seeing things "

"umm well you see when Prince Kayan was little the castle was atacked. he was playing with his little sister Lillith when when one man barged into the room. he had i knife and killed Lillith, he was only 10 at the time and Lillith was 7. After Lillith was killed the man went for Kayan but by some miracle he managed to steal the knife from the man and killed him. After that day no one was the same. Kayan had hallucinations due to his trauma that he got after that day."

"i am realy sorry miss But i have duty's to atend. will you manage?" "Yes i'll be fine" i said nodding my head. After Beth walked out i quickly finished my sandwich and walked out of the kitchen. i needed to do something to help me progres all the new information. i decided it was time for me to practice my sword fighting again

I quickly walked up to the bedroom and changed into a pair leggings and blouse. i grabbed a sword out of the corner of the room and made my way outside. After a little while of searching i made it to the training grounds. They luckely had enchanted dummy's that would fight against you so that i didn't have to talk to someone.

after traing for about half an hour someone cleared their troat behind me. i gave a short glance behind me to see who it was only to be met by Kayan's dad Dalfon. "What do you think your doing?" he asked with a face that was full of disgust. "um training. i thought that was pretty obvious." I said confused.

"Woman are not suposed to fight. They have one job and that's bearing children, coocking and cleaning." im sorry but what century does he think this is? "First of all that are three thing you want woman to do not one. and second of all I thought men were suposed to be smart and charming but you are neither. And tirth of all That's sexist." i said with a overly sweet smile. "Now if you'll exuse me i have things to do." i walked away bumping against his shoulder on my way out.

im so so sorry that it took me a WEEK to update. But my test week (i don't know if you have ot in your country to but its a week full of test for all of your subjects) is coming up so i have to focus on that first.
