I grabbed my phone and checked the time; 11:32am. I walked into the kitchen and put two pieces of stale bread in my old second hand toaster I bought at a garage sale. it was rickety and dodgy but it toasted my bread nonetheless. I grabbed the peanut butter and jam and a knife. I checked facebook amd text mom. Once my toast was cooked I layered it with pb&j, just the way I liked it. By the time I finished with my toast my white bench was covered in crumbs. I brushed them onto the floor and walked to my room again where I pulled on my black skinny jeans and red checkered flannel shirt. I grabbed my wallet and car keys, but left my apartment key in my room and walked out leaving my life in the apartment behind me. As I heard the door lock behind me I felt queezy. Even if I wanted to go back I couldn't get in. Had I just made a huge mistake? No. I reassured myself I was making the right decision.
