the virus started by a chemical leak in the fright zone when enctrapta was testing on things. she instantly realised it was toxic but did nothing to help it not knowing what to do. she hasn't been seen since. many were infected and went missing. most of the fright zone have been infected or are missing.

infected : Hordak , Scorpia , lonnie , Rogelio , horde sergeant , imp , horde soldiers
enctrapta spilt the potion she was making unaware of how toxic it was and the effects. she left it on the corner of the table while she was helping Emily her robot with a stiff leg that needed to be oiled. enctrapta knocked it off the table spilling over Emily and making a large puddle she instantly fled the room. later when horde came in her slipped on the liquid whilst it touched his skin and infected him he was unaware until 2 days later the virus had spread to his brain and completely taken over him and his actions. he only had to make physical contact with anyone to spread the virus and spread it to Scorpio till it kept spreading.
Catra found out there was a virus and instantly fled. Adora has been trying to get in contact with her.
shadow weaver hasnt been seen since she was scolding enctrapta a few hours before the spillage. octavia knew there was something up by lots of people going missing and others acting out. so she fled too.
Kyle wanted to report to hordak that Scorpio was acting out but when horde saw him he tried to attack Kyle and mauled him to shreds. his full body hasn't been found.
huntara found out about Kyles death and went to kill horde for revenge not knowing about a virus till she got infected. she only knew there was something wrong with her till she became emotional and her mind distorted after horde grabbed her arm. her dead body was found locked in a empty room by double trouble. double trouble said huntara possibly killed herself from insanity. they touched the dead body and got the virus before they passed it onto Rogelio who impaled them to death multiple times two days later
