Chapter 12

"With the drill almost finished we should probably find out where the cluster is located so we can drill directly onto it." Peridot stated.

"And how would we do that?" Amethyst asked.

"The moon base. It has a lot of information stored there as it is where the Diamonds would oversee their colonies."

"Why are the Diamonds such a big deal?" Iris asked with a confused look on her face.

"Well first of all they are perfect! They are the Diamonds! Nothing is better than them! They oversee all of the Gem Empire! Especially my Diamond, Yellow Diamond!" Peridot praised.

"Well the Diamonds sound stupid!" Iris said crossing his arms.

"Yeah!" Steven agreed.

"If I were a Diamond I would never ever colonize or make gems do stuff they don't wanna cuz that's just dumb!!" She huffed crossing her arms.

"If they heard you say that you two would be shattered!" Peridot told them.

"Well I'm just a human so I can't be shattered!" Iris huffed.

"Okay you two let's just focus on the task at hand." Garnet said lifting up Iris.

"Put me down!!" She growled squirming to get out of Garnet's arms.

"Nope you need to calm down." Garnet stated.

"Fine..." Iris muttered and fell limp in Garnet's arms like a cat when being held under the arms.

"So how do we get to the moon base?" Steven asked.

"Well there used to be a warp pad... until you crystal clods destroyed it along with all the other useful things this planet had!" Peridot said in a snarky tone.

"Lion! He can use a portal to the moon base!!" Steven said throwing his arms up. Lion's ears perked up at the sound of his name but he remained in sleeping position. "Come on lion let's go!" Steven said walking over to his pet.

"If you don't take us there will be no more hugs from me and Iris." Steven said crossing his arms but lion did not budge.

"No more lion lickers?" Iris said still in Garnet's arms but lion still did not move.

"No more naps?" Steven stated which caused lion to get up and roar opening a portal. "Guess it was naps. Come on everyone let's go!"

Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl went onto lion's back while Steven, Iris and Peridot were in lion's mane portal thing.

Lion leaped through the portal and began running through at high speeds until they arrived at the moon base. Lion slid across the floor as he landed before collapsing from exhaustion.

"Good job buddy. You get extra naps." Steven said as he got off of lion and everyone else followed suite.

"Who's that?" Iris asked looking up at a portrait of a tall blue woman.

"That is Blue Diamond one of the members of the amazing diamond authority!" Peridot revealed.

"That's her?? She looks so weird!" Iris stated.

"Their murals are severely out dated other than the planets as they were before Pink Diamond even emerged. Well except for Pink Diamonds that was made after she got the earth as her colony." Peridot stated.
