Y/n's POV...
FIFTEEN MINUTES REMAINING
Chishiya led me down to a spot so we could stay hidden, but still see everything. This reminded me of the game of tag where Chishiya and I found each other again. Except this time we were in a burning building with fifteen minutes left to find the witch.
The militants had quite a few Beach people standing before them and Aguni, ready to shoot them.
"Kill 'em all." Aguni ordered.
One of the Militant looked like he was going to cry.
"I- I can't do this anymore." One said.
"We've got no choice." Another told him. I scoffed. They we're all idiots in there own ways. "we'll never be the same after killing so many people."
Unfortunately for them they were way to close to Aguni. Aguni knocked the one who wasn't crying in the leg to the ground.
"Did you not hear me?" Aguni asked him. "Anyone here who defies me here is the witch."
He pointed the gun at his head. "Just shoot me then!" The man cried out.
The crying guy looked like he was going to break down again.
"That's enough!"
The crowd parted revealing Arisu, Usagi, and Tatta. Arisu was okay! I started to move down towards the stairs but Chishiya stopped me.
"He's alive, I want to go see him." Chishiya looked like I just hurt his feelings before going back to his stoic expression trying to show he never cared. He looked, tense.
"It's not a good idea, you could get hurt." He told me quickly.
"I- fine." His shoulders instantly relaxed. He grabbed my waist and pulled me back into him, it was time to watch the on-slaughter that we momentary forgot about.
"-we'll find the witch!" Aguni just stared at Arisu before walking over to him.
Aguni hit Arisu in the nose with the butt of the gun and then start beating him. It was hard to watch, but I couldn't look away.
"Arisu!" Usagi shouted. She ran infront of Aguni and grabbed him. "Stop it!" Aguni just pushed her away to the ground. "I know everything! You're going after Arisu even though you know he didn't do it. And thats... Because you're the witch!" Aguni hit Arisu once again. "Arisu!"
"They'd make a cute couple, don't you think?" Chishiya asked me. His tone had a cherry disposition which had grown on me in the past few days.
I just shook my head smiling. He knows I what I think about them.
"I am the witch." I heard Aguni say. He walked over to the crying militant. "Go ahead. Do it!" He yelled.
It clicked in my brain just how wrong Usagi was. Aguni wasn't the witch. This whole game was idiotic.
"That girl... The dead one. Momoka, she's the witch. It a hearts game, so it wouldn't be that easy. Plus, it's the most difficult hearts game, assuming there is no more games after tonight, if we pass." I paused and looked at Chishiya. He was staring at me.
"What else have you noticed?" He asked quietly.
"Aguni wouldn't admit to being the witch because he wants to survive. It's because he has guilt. He's feeling guilt, because of what he did. He killed Hatter, not Momoka."
"And how did you figure out that Momoka was the witch?"
"Like I said, this is a hearts game. So wouldn't it make sense if the witch killed herself. Hearts games play with your hearts. So naturally it only makes sense. The most obvious thing is normally overlooked. It looked like Ann had the right idea. Get the fingerprints off of the knife that was stabbed in her chest. But anyone who's smart enough could figure out that she killed herself." I explained to him.
