Requested by Georgianot

This request is going by the theory that the Bonnie Masked Bully is Fritz smith (since it would be weird to call him Bonnie Mask Bully the entire time).

Your chest tightened as a lump formed in your throat. Despite being in the library, you could smell the faintest whiff of something rotten in the air. Your hands gripped onto the fabric of your jeans, your breathing growing more rapid. Not now. Why did it have to hit now?

You quietly stood up from your seat and grabbed your backpack off the ground. Darting over to your teacher, you tapped his arm. He glanced down at you, raising an eyebrow as a look of concern crossed his face.

“Yes, (y/n)?” he whispered.

“I need to go,” you said, your voice trembling.

“Alright, go ahead.”

With a quick nod, you darted towards the back of the library, weaving through bookshelves until you came to a small desk nestled in the back. Tossing your bag underneath it, you crawled under the table and pulled your knees to your chest. Letting out a shaky sigh, you closed your eyes. Of course your brain was acting up on the one day there was a guest speaker you were actually interested in.

As you slowly rocked yourself back and forth, you heard shuffling next to you. A hand was placed on your shoulder.

“You doing alright?”

You looked up, seeing Fritz sitting next to you under the table. He had a sad smile on his face, his eyes glossy as his lips twitched. You watched him dig something out of his backpack he had brought with him. Once the item was in your hands, you looked it over. It was a Bonnie plush, one with a lopsided eye and faded blue fabric. You buried your face in it, hugging it close to you as Fritz rubbed your back.

“Not really,” you mumbled.

“Mike said you were with him that day, and uh… you've been acting a lot like him,” he said.

“Why do you care?” you whispered. Your grip on the plush tightened as you closed your eyes. “Last I checked, you and your friends hated just about everyone in this school.”

“Look, Michael's my friend. And if he trusted you and your friends enough to show you whatever happened to his dad, you're cool in my book,” he said.

You let out a sigh, resting against him. Comfort from a peer you didn't talk to was better than no comfort at all. The rotting smell seemed to grow stronger, even managing to slip through the fabric of the plush. Or maybe it was coming from within the plush itself? Before you could locate the source to avoid looking at it, it overtook the entire space beneath the table. Your eyes squeezed shut. You didn't want to see it again.

“(y/n)..?”

Your eyes peaked open and you choked back a scream. It was right in front of you. He was right in front of you, still rotting in the old springlock suit with a frozen scream plastered on his face. You scrambled back as much as you could against a wall, gripping onto Fritz's arm.

“Hey, hey, it's ok,” he said, holding onto you. “He's not real. He can't hurt you.”

“That doesn't matter! I can see him and I don't wanna see him!” you yelled.

“(y/n), hey, it's ok. Just close your eyes and take a deep breath.”

You nodded, your body shaking as your eyes remained closed and you took a deep breath through your nose. You held it for a second, releasing it through your mouth.

“Where did you see him?”

“A-at the old Pizzeria.”

“And was he alive?”

“N-no…”

“Then why the fuck would he be in the school library?”

You let out a scratchy chuckle, slowly opening your eyes. You could see Fritz grinning down at you, his eyes sparking.

“The heck was that! You sound like those guys in the horror movies who warn the protagonists about their impending doom,” he teased, letting out his own laugh.

“Impending? When did you learn such big words?” you teased back.

Fritz playfully shoved you, causing you to laugh. As you glanced over, you realized it was gone. It was just the two of you now.

“Where did you learn to do that?” you asked.

“Do not tell me you were serious about that vocab thing!”

“No! No! I mean, you made him go away so fast. How?”

Fritz sighed, leaning back against the wall.

“You remember that whole thing where Michael convinced all of us to pull that prank on his brother?” he asked.

“Yeah, the one where he panicked and his arm got caught in Fredbear's mouth,” you said.

“Yeah. Well, for like… months after that, Mike was just going crazy. He was constantly breaking down and screaming at things that weren’t there. I mean, some of it probably was he saw what happened to his dad but was too scared to say anything, but I kinda got used to distracting him from it. He wouldn't tell me what was actually going on, so it was the best I could do,” he explained, shrugging. “Dude was messed up, and I was just trying to help him in the only way I could without him getting mad at me.”

You hummed, staring at the floor.

“I still don't get why you helped me. You used to hate me in grade school, so I don’t see what changed,” you mumbled.

“Well, you also had a crush on me in grade school and you were really annoying about it,” he said.

“I did not!” you said, feeling your cheeks growing flushed.

“Or maybe I'm thinking of the one you currently have on me.”

You threw the Bonnie plush at Fritz as he fell over laughing.

“Now I see why you helped me,” you grumbled.

“Oh yeah?”

“Cause you have a crush on me and saw this as a chance to get close.”

“I- (y/n)!”
