Aphrodite was right, Coco was an unbeatable force of nature.

For her first two years at Camp half-blood, she never left Grover's side. She wasn't forced to participate in all of the activities like the other kids, she was free to do as she pleased.

When she was 4 she decided to start training, Chiron made special adjustments to the camp and training gear to make it more suitable for a small child. Smaller bows, smaller gear, softer practice swords, all things kept in place to keep her safe.

On her 5th birthday she was finally claimed by her mother, she didn't fully understand the whole process of everything. All she knew was one day she slept in Hermes cabin and the next she was moved to cabin 10, easily stealing the hearts of all of her half brothers and sisters.

By the time she was 6 she was able to take down a Demi god double her size and age, thats when Grover started to ask questions.

He had kept his promise, staying by her side every day, making sure nothing caused her harm. He was there for everything. Every year, he was the first to wish her happy birthday, the first to help her up when she fell and the first to help her with her abilities.

She never questioned it, Grover was her brother. Always had been and always will be.

When she was 7 Grover finally explained to her where her parents were. How her father had died protecting her and how her mother wasn't able to visit but she was always watching down on her every day.

When she was 9 Grover had to leave her for the first time. He had been assigned to protect three Demi godchildren on their journey to camp. She didn't take it well, that's an understatement. She just didn't understand. She didn't understand why her brother was leaving, she didn't understand why he would leave her alone and she didn't understand why her power was growing so strong and for the first time in her whole life, she didn't have Grover by her side.

That was the first time her mother had ever made contact with her, when she needed her most.

She had been having a nightmare, in the dream she had received notice from the gods that Grover had been killed well on his journey. Her heart raced as she let out a high-pitched scream, though no sound came out. Her breathing became uneasy before she felt two soft hands on her arm as she awoke slowly.

She opened her eyes, blinking a few times before remembering what she had just seen. Her eyes filled with tears, breathing became uneven as a sob ran through her body. Two arms pulled her up as they held her close, she couldn't see their face in the darkness, she could only feel the warmth radiating off of them.
