|your point of view|
i've got my eyes on you...

you were sat at the garden just behind your house, your sister was currently training, at the moment with her swords, as you just watched her move beautifully around with the weapons...you always envied how elegant harumi was, almost every guy in japan wanted her...even the one that left long ago, kuai liang.

the one man you truly loved, but only he didn't feel the same...he always had his eyes on your sister, admiring how strong she was or how elegant she was as she fought...and that's why he never paid attention to you, because you weren't made for combat...

you instead did dancing, which would involve ribbons or fans or swords, but nothing seemed to catch the attention of the one man you wanted. he would compliment how graceful you looked and all, but it wasn't true combat...it was just for looks.

at some point you had grown bored of your own thoughts, once more annoyed with your sister because of your own thoughts, so you decided to leave the gardens...

before you could enter the house harumi's sweetly annoying voice called out, "y/n? where are you going?" "practice." "will you be joining me out here?" "no, it's grown too hot for me..." and before anything else could be said you quickly entered the house...

before deciding on what you wanted to practice with today you thought to get a drink beforehand. as you poured a glass of tea, a knock sounded from the door.

you stopped your movements and glance up towards the door, unsure if you actually heard anything or not, after a few more seconds another knock sounded.

you quickly put your things down and make your way to the door and, without checking who was there, you open the door...

a small gasp leaves your lips as your eyes set on none other than... "kuai liang?" he looked so different, and that wasn't just because of the huge scar across his face... "y/n, it's been awhile..." "um yea it has...what- uh," you try to calm yourself and continue, "what are you doing here?" "can we maybe talk later? i need to see your sister..." and in that moment your heart shattered.

even after all this time, he didn't care to talk with you...he of course wanted harumi.

before you could show any sign of frustration or sadness you just say, "she's in the garden..." and with that you move to the side for him and tomas to enter as you go back to getting your drink and quickly head off to the empty room you use to practice...

you ultimately chose to practice with the swords, allowing your anger and sadness to take over as you move around the open space, still somehow encompassing so much beauty and elegance...but it seemed your emotions distracted you too much as one of the sword glides across your skin and cuts you...

you immediately drop the weapon from your injured hand, a loud clank sounds as the sword comes in contact with the floor--the noise only echoing due to the emptiness, silence of the room--and you can only hiss at the pain. you gaze down at your hand as you drop the other sword and watch as the blood drips down onto the ends of your once clean gown. your eyes fixated on the crimson liquid running down your hand causing the voice calling out to you to go unnoticed.

only did you realize someone else was there when their hands came into view as they carefully took your hand in their's to look at your wound.

your first thought was kuai, but as you brought your gaze up you only met tomas' concerned gaze. you felt disappointment enter your heart almost instantly, but didn't let it show...almost feeling guilt that you felt that way when Tomas only wanted to help.
