as you stare at yourself in the mirror you hear your door click open as kitana enters your room, "sister, the earthrealmers will be here soon, are you ready?" you turn to face her, "do i look alright?" she smiles and comes closer to you as she places her hands on your shoulders, adjusting the fabric to your outfit, "you always look beautiful sister, you know that."

you smile, "you're always so sweet...but we probably should hurry down, we don't want to keep everyone waiting." kitana nods, "you go on down, i need to check on mileena as well." you simply nod and leave your room with kitana behind you until you go your separate ways...

kitana always seemed so attentive to everyone, always making sure everything was perfect and always trying to avoid conflict or mishaps...that was something you absolutely loved about your sister, she was so sweet towards the people she loved most.

you reach the ground floor and head out the doors to find your mother waiting for you and your siblings, "where are your sisters?" "they're coming, just give them a few more minutes..." "they better hurry, you must greet the earthrealmers-" "don't worry so much mom, it'll be alright" she sighs and simply smiles at your reassurance as she gives you a nod.

just then kitana and mileena come outside as well and you and your siblings enter the carriage as you make your way to the portal the earthrealmers will be coming through...

once you arrived at your destination the three of you take your positions on the staircase and a few minutes later you see the earthrealmers make their way through the portal and stand before you as they bow, mileena was the first to speak, "lord lui kang, welcome." "thank you, princess mileena." she slightly smiles as she motions back to you and kitana, "you remember my sisters?" "of course. princess kitana and y/n."

you and kitana slightly bow your heads in return as lui kang continued, "may i introduce johnny cage...kung lao...kenshi takahashi...and earthrealm's champion, raiden." you study each of them as lui kang introduced the men, but out of all of them...raiden truly caught your eye.

at that point you become quickly distracted as your attention is only on raiden, hearing muffled voices speak back and forth to one another as you stay entranced by the man...

you only look away once you notice your sisters turn around to begin walking off, you quickly gather yourself and follow after them as you make your way back to the carriages.

you seemed to get lucky with the seating arrangements...as kitana was stuck with johnny, kung lao, and kenshi; you were lucky enough to be with mileena, lui kang, and raiden...

all of you quickly make your way back to the palace, music surrounding you as the people of outworld prepare for the traditional festival your family hosts and as you make your way through the village, crowds quickly formed on the sides of the streets as they clap and cheer...

you had been looking off into the distance once the cart suddenly stopped. you first assumed you arrived at the palace, but quickly realized it stopped because mileena probably saw something she didn't like...

your belief was proven true as you peep around the side to see her storming towards li mei...you almost felt bad for the woman, you seemed to be the only person who didn't blame her for your father's death...

after a few seconds you hear raiden's voice, "princess mileena doesn't seem to like her very much..." you sit back in the chair and face him, "that's li mei...she was once the leader of umgadi, the palace guard...she was on watch the night our father died and it seems no one has forgiven her since," you look back out the cart to see mileena coming back, "everyone except me..."
