Chapter 9: Battle of New York

Y/N's P.O.V

The other Avengers and I have been fighting off the alien army for what seems like forever.

I've just taken down another group of aliens on the streets below the bridge.

Just then Clint comes over the comms.

Clint: Spidey, the Chitauri have civilians cornered in a bank on 42nd.

Y/N: Okay, I'm on it.

I web zip away.

I make it to the bank on 42nd and jump into the bank.

Once I'm in I see that one ailen has a bomb, so I shoot webs at it's face and it drops the bomb.

The other two try to shoot me, but I manage to get behind cover and see the bomb is still set to blow any minute.

I kick the desk infront of me trapping two of them.

I then attack another one and send him to the bottom floor.

After that I web the alien down, then yell to the civilians.

Y/N: Go! Get out now!

One of them grabs me and manages to pull off my mask.

The alien then throws me to the ground.

I grab my mask and look up to see the alien has the bomb.

He gets ready to throw it at me, but I jump out of the window and web it up to cover me from the explosion.

It doesn't work fully I get hit by the explosion and land on a car.

My ears are ringing as I get off the car.

After that I spot myself reflection in some broken glass and see that my suit has been torn up.

Y/N: I'll have to fix this later.

I put my mask back on and get back into the fight.

(Twenty minutes later)

I'm now on the ground level fighting with Cap and Thor.

The three of are definitely on our last legs right now.

(A/N: Just imagine Y/N is fighting with them.)

As I turn I get hit by a Chitauri gun.

Thor then covers me and smashes them with a car.

I look up to see Thor is offers me a hand.

I take and get back on my feet.

Thor then calls his hammer back to him.

Thor: Are you ready for another bout, young one?

I smirk.

Y/N: Why? You getting sleepy?

He and I both chuckle.

After a few more minutes we hear Natasha come over the comms.

Natasha: Guys, we can close the portal.

Steve: Do it!

Tony: Wait, we can't.

Steve: Stark, these things just keep coming.

Tony: I know, but I've gotta nuke coming and it's gonna blow in two and half minutes. And I know where to put it.

We all look at each other and realise what he's gonna do.

Y/N: Mr. Stark, you know that might be a one-way trip, right?

Tony: Yeah, kid. I know.

We look up and see Iron-Man flying with the nuke above him.

He flies up the side of Stark Tower and goes into the portal with the nuke.

After a couple of seconds Cap contacts Natasha.

Steve: Close it.

We look up and see the portal close up.

Just then I spot something falling.

Y/N: Wait... is that...?

Cap chuckles.

Steve: Crazy son of a gun.

Thor: He isn't slowing down.

Y/N: Oh, crap.

I run forward and web zip into the air.

I then run up the side of a building, using web lines to keep my balance.

Once I'm close enough I jump up and catch Mr. Stark.

As we fall I get caught by Hulk and he breaks our fall as we hit the ground.

Hulk and I get up, then I lay Mr. Stark on the ground.

Steve and Thor rush over.

Thor rips off his face plate, so he can breathe.

Y/N: He's... he's not breathing.

Then out of nowhere Hulk roars and this jolts Mr. Stark back to life.

Tony: Whoa! What the hell?!

He looks at all of us.

Tony: What just happened? Please tell me no-one kissed me?

Steve: We won.

I sigh.

Y/N: I can't believe we did it.

Tony: Alright, hey, good job guys let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take the day off. Have you ever tried shawmera? There's a shawmera joint a few blocks away. I have no idea what it is, but I wanna try it.

Steve and I smile.

Thor: We have unfinished business first.

He looks at Thor.

Tony: But then shawmera after right?

(Five minutes later)

All of us are now at the top floor of Stark Tower.

I take off my mask.

We see Loki wake up and pull himself up slightly.

He turns and see us, the Avengers standing.

And he has Hawkeye pointing an arrow at his face.

Loki: If it's all the same to you. I'll have that drink now.

(A/N: Just imagine Y/N is there too.)

We won. We stopped an alien invasion.
