After Alex whispered that, he slid away to the dinning hall, leaving a confused and hot Eve, who simply turned around and started walking in a sort of trance way to her Common Room to leave her things there. That was flirting, right? Obviously Eve, she told herself, that's not what a friend or a teacher tells a student. This thought and the words made her smile stupidly and run the rest of the way to be on time for dinner.

Harry was in the common room, and she walked with him to the Hall for dinner. When they arrived, they found the Hall decorated, and some big tables had been added, but they were presently empty. As they sat, Dumbledore stood up, and started speaking. "Good afternoon students, tonight the schools that will participate in the Triwizard Tournament will be arriving. They come from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and  Durmstrang Institute, and you will all welcome them now".

As he said this, the doors burst open, and two rows of teenagers started entering The Great Hall: the row on the left was made of blonde tall boys and girls, all beautiful, with angelic and elfish features, who wore blue uniforms. Eve couldn't help but feel herself staring longingly at two girls, with blonde soft long hair and pale porcelain with deep green eyes... She realised that they strongly reminded her of Veelas, mythological creatures that were similar to sirens and harpies (maybe they  did descend from a blood lineage of Veelas). The row on the right consisted of strong looking boys and girls, attractive too, not in a delicate way, but in a rough and handsome one. She observed one of them, a big brunette with piercing brown eyes, stared at Hermione, and seemed to be transfixed by her.

Both schools sat down on the extra tables, Dumbledore gave a short speech about the terms of the Triwizard Tournament and the Goblet of Fire, and as soon as he clapped, delicious plates of food appeared before them.

Back in the girl's dormitory, they couldn't help but gossip and giggle about the newcomers: "Did you see the tall blonde boy? he looked just like a renaissance painting" Parvarati sighed and both Hermione and Eve burst in giggles "What? Leave me and my hypothetical boyfriend out of this" she grumbled, making both girls laugh even more.

"Oh, but I saw a certain Durmstrang brunette eyeing you..." Eve teased Hermione, watching her turn crimson "Who? I didn't even realise!" "I'll point him out to you next time, but don't worry, I'm sure he'll come to you anytime" Eve giggled and felt so happy to finally have some female friends to gossip with.

.

Next morning, they all ran to the Great Hall for breakfast, as they had DADA first period. Eve scanned the teacher's table, but she couldn't spot her favourite one (he's probably sleeping in). Come think about it, Nina Cornly wasn't at the table either (huh, probably a coincidence, nothing to worry about), but inside her insecurities got the best of her and she started questioning everything.

She dug into her breakfast, when Fred and George appeared, Fred sitting next to her and Hermione and George in front of them. "Good morning ladies, how are we?" Fred asked, looking at Eve, and then focusing his gaze on Hermione, who hadn't even heard the boy because she was intently reading a new book about Charms "Great, really excited about these new students, and Hermione here" said Eve, nudging Hermione "Is also great, right Mione?" Hermione looked up, flushed and surprised "Oh yeah, perfectly well this morning. And how are you too boys? up to any mischief?" The twins exchanged glances and grinned "Oh, we're always up to something, but what would be the fun in telling you?" George said

"Actually, we're thinking of ways to enter the Triwizard Tournament" Fred declared, picking up Hermione's interest "Really? and how on Earth do you plan to do that? you do know they will be using a Goblet that has a legal age restriction? It is virtually..." Hermione said as she started arguing with the twins, and Eve zoned out. Was she still thinking about yours truly? Obviously, and she couldn't wait for their class in 3d period. The mail came in, and as the owls dropped letters, one came for Eve. It was a small note, and it simply read:

"Sorry Eve, but won't be able to make it this afternoon. See you on Friday afternoon. Alex"

Oh really? Now he didn't want to see her and wanted to make her miss out on her weekend. Why couldn't he have mentioned it yesterday? And were was he? He's probably leaving Nina's bedroom now and getting ready. He got common sense kicked in him and now doesn't want me to get the wrong idea or anything.

"I have to leave" she told the twins and Hermione, who simply waved and continued arguing. Walking through the corridors she bumped into Blaise and Theo "Good morning Eve, how are you on this fine morning?" Theo said, bowing down, making Eve giggle in spite of herself. "I've been better. How are you guys? Have you talked yet with any exchange students?" "Actually we have" Blaise said "turns out some of the Beauxbatons students are distant relatives of Malfoy, and they're hanging out with us" "And are they nice?" Eve asked, as she watched Blaise's face twist "Speaking of the devil...."

Eve turned around and saw four teens walking towards them. One of them was Malfoy, looking as high and mighty as ever, and then there were two girls, the ones that had struck Eve and an extremely handsome boy, which she was sure was Parvarati's Prince Charming. "Blaise, Theo, what are you doing speaking to the Gryffindor?" Malfoy said when they reached them, scrunching up his nose. "Oh come on Malfoy, I'm tired of you pretending you don't like me, we both know you do" Eve said smirking and winking at him, which made him glare at the girl.

"Well, these are my guests a-" "Your guests? You mean exchange students like the other ones?" Eve interrupted again, making Malfoy turn red "Well-" The tall blond guy laughed and stretched his hand out to the girl "I'm Jacob, and these are Louise and Violet" he said, gesturing to both girls, who looked at Eve's face blankly "Nice to meet you, I'm Eve" she said, shaking the boys hand, who was looking at her intently until the bell chimed "and if I don't leave now i'll be late for DADA. Nice meeting you all!" she said as she waved and ran to the classroom.

See Eve, that's the kind of handsome and educated and age appropriate guy you should like, her inner voice said, making Eve cuss at it and run into her class. "Late, Miss Teach" a female voice screeched the second she entered the room, coming from the one and only Ms Cornly "Sorry Ms, I was on my way and-" The woman sneered and walked towards the table, where Moody was sitting "No excuses young lady, you have detention this Friday". Well fuck me, one problem less, at least I won't be able to choose between going out with my friends or spending time with Alex, she thought.

She didn't say anything as she sat down, hoping the class would be over sooner than normal.

a/n:  I haven't read the Goblet of Fire in years, so if I do some weird time jumps or forget characters, i'm sorry for it, but since the story isn't really centred around that plot, I hope you'll understand.

also, young Hayden Christensen as Jacob from Beauxbatons.
