chapter six

Alex's pov

I couldn't believe it, Snape, out of all the students he could give me gave me her?! I mean, I'd thank him later, not like he knew I was interested in the girl.

I felt sick when I though about if, what was I, a 21 old man thinking of a 16 year old teenager? but the way she smiled, and talked, and simply her aura was so angelic and peaceful it made me happy.

of course, I could see that even if she didn't like me, she was attracted to me. and not to be egotistical but if I were a student and had a teacher as hot as me I'd also be attracted to them.(ok I am being cocky, let me be)

anyways, she seemed to be impressed with the small room I had. It was filled with suitcases that were full of books and papers and cauldrons.

I pointed to the left "why don't we start with those over there and then go to the pile on the right?" she nodded and we each grabbed a suitcase and started opening them.

" so, do you have any hobbies or something?" I asked trying to make small talk. she smiled "yeah, I really like playing the piano and drawing I guess. also I love reading, that's why I chose your class" I smirked at her "you sure it's the only reason you chose my class?"

at this comment she blushed and I started laughing "don't worry, I was just joking around" she seemed to be more relaxed after this "and what do you do in your free time?" she asked, really interested

"not much, but I love reading poetry and playing the guitar and singing too you know? I've got two bands" I smiled remembering 18 year old me playing at pubs at Hogsmseade with my friends.

"really? that sound pretty cool!" Eve remarked and then continued sorting out the papers. with the light that was coming from the window on her face I could clearly see her relaxed features, she really is gorgeous...

"hello? Earth to Alex?" I quickly blinked and now she was the one smirking. bloody hell I liked to see it on her face. "I was saying that I finished two suitcases, should we go now to ones in the right?" I nodded and we moved over there.

she had definitely noticed me looking at her but made no comment on it. but by the sly smile that was appearing on her face I wouldn't bet on it. "sooo, do you have any interesting stories about your time in Hogwarts you'd like to share?"

I knew that voice tone. If she really though I was gonna tell her all my tips for sneaking out and things like that, she was very wrong.

"depends on what love? what type of stories do you wanna hear? I said looking deeply into her eyes. they were beautiful, a mix of grey and blue and swirling with mischief. " oh come on, you know what type of things" she groaned and pouted at me "I'm asking for a friend" she finally smiled as she batted her eyelashes.

I have to give it to her, the girl has some charm. " I'd love to Eve, but i don't think Minerva would approve of it huh?" she looked confused "who's Minerva?" I laughed at her face. she's really cute.

"never mind, we've still got a lot of things to clean up, and I'm not letting you go until we finish" my mind started wandering.... oh stop it Alex! for fucks sake this isn't a club! this is an underage girl and your student. as I looked towards her, I saw that she was also lost in thought. I hope this afternoon lasts forever.

Eve's pov

Jesus was he teasing me?

I honestly can't take the man. he's so... charismatic? confident? there isn't an actual word... oh yeah there is, cocky.

the bastard knows he's handsome and he knows that I know. God that's annoying, the way he smirks at me.

but again, I caught him staring before, so I can't say it's all me, after all, attraction has to go both ways, or else there can't be any tension.

back in America, whenever I got into a fight with my parents or simply felt like it, I would go to these high school parties were they let everyone in. at the beginning I just went to them because I had friends in common, i didn't drink or smoke. but when I turned 14, things quickly escalated. I got into more fights with my parents and suddenly I was open to everything that made me forget my life at home. at one of those parties I lost my virginity, with a senior guy who at least wasn't a dick. but I didn't live a happy life there, and the alcohol wasn't a very good coping mechanism.

I simply went to those parties to get fucked. in any literal sense. suddenly two fingers appeared in front of me.

" hello? Earth calling Eve? anyone there?" Alex smirked. I huffed and grabbed another suitcase "yeah sorry I was just thinking".

he gave me a stare, silently asking, but I was too tired to start telling someone I barely knew about all of my life. my old personality had been mysterious, seductive, but now I had a chance to start a new one. did I want that though?

no, you don't want to overshare , a little voice said in my head. she was right though, if I did I'd regret it later for years and years until I forgot. soon we finished cleaning and it hurt me to have to leave. we had been making small talk all afternoon long, and I got lots of information on Alex, which was a good start on how to stalk him.

"well, I'll walk you back to your common room, don't want you to get kidnapped or anything on your way back" he joked and I silently screamed. relax Eve, he's just being your friendly and responsible teacher who doesn't want you to go alone in the corridors during nighttime

but as both of us walked side by side with the moonlights shinning on us, I couldn't help but smile and relax in the feeling of safety and warm love, because even if I rarely let my guard down for anything or anyone, he was different. I was going to make sure that he was special.
