i look at you
the way icarus looks at sunrises
as something so beautiful and bright
it scatters the heavens
and the longer i watch,
the more i know i'm as good as gone
sometimes, i wonder
what the sun ever thought of icarus
but I guess it doesn't really matter
even if my wings were to burn
in a ball of hell fire
chasing after you
i wouldn't be bitter
i'd look up at the sky
as i crash back down to earth
and smile
because the sight in front of my eyes-
of all the different hues
diping in and out of clouds
would be a sight-
only few, if any
would ever get to see
and it would definitely,-
be worth the risk
