When they returned, they saw his classmates telling the returning teacher what he did. Camila raised her hands.

"Ms, can I talk to you outside?" She grabbed Silas. "Come with me."

When they returned, the teacher ultimately decided not to punish anyone.

"Why doesn't he get detention? He was going to hit someone!"

"But I didn't fight back when you know who tried to put my head near a heater. Yeah I was mad, but I didn't hit you, did I?"

"Look, you all shouldn't even have your phone in class. And while that shouldn't lead to aggression," raising that inflection at Silas, "you all could be nicer. Just be glad your classmate wasn't harmed in the endeavor. Silas, Camila. You could let them know what happened."

The students who weren't even done had to fight the urge to turn back after learning what went down.

"Pack up, quick. We have to run quickly."

"Wait, where are we going?"

"We gotta catch a bus before and after we come back, pointing to the clock about to hit the end of the period."

The two packed their bags, finishing as the bell rang out. Sprinting for the stairs and racing out into the street, they spotted a light skinned man riding with a scooter, yelling at everyone to move.

"He took my purse," they heard a woman yell.

Silas sucked his teeth. "We don't have time for this!" He grabbed a garbage can and kicked it into the path of the thief, who tripped and fell in front of them.

"Camila, hop on and we'll return it to the cops," running as fast as he could and picking up the purse.

She couldn't even process what was going on, choosing to just rush alongside him through the venue.

They dropped the scooter and handed the purse to the police but bolted immediately before the blue badges could ask questions.

Wait, shouldn't we have told them what happened? "Did we just stop a theft?"

"Who cares, we gotta make the bus," pointing at one, the stoplight being the only thing to stop it as it started blinking down. We gotta get in front of that bus before it can pass us!"

Isn't that extremely dangerous?

The two passed the building as the light changed. He drifted diagonally into the street, forcing her to follow. Thankfully, little to no cars in sight and cars turning blocked enough for them to reach the other side. Struggling, the wind cooled down their aching bodies reaching the bus stop.

"We made it," having to hold the handle bars to muster the strength to get in.

"Forgetting her?"

"Camila!" He achingly reached out for her, pulling her in time.

"Aren't you two a little bit too young to be acting like senior citizens?"

"He," puffing, "ran," punching the air towards the window, "me, with," huffing for air, "that far."

"We got a fifty minute time limit and need to reach the McDonalds on Flatbush, stat!"

"I'll floor it just a bit. Swipe your card," allowing them the time, "and hold on," pumping on the acceleration. They watched him reach stop after stop in record time until reaching their destination.

She blinked at the number of people in the store. "How are we gonna get a seat?"

"Wait for it."

Like he predicted, several people got up and out of their seats, exiting rapidly until there was hardly anyone in the store.

"There's usually a lunch rush and the other schools nearby are about to start their next period," leading her to the corner. "It's like waiting for a dragon to unleash its fire breath."

That's a weird analogy, imagining MCDonalds transforming into an anthropomorphic dragon firing chicken nuggets.

Once instead, she started drawing it out while his attempts to figure out the machine fell on deaf ears, forced to ask for help. As Silas was about to put in the twenty dollars to pay, it was snatched out of his hands. The thief pushed her out of the way, making him shift priorities to stop her from falling as he fled.

"That douche stole all of our money!"

As Camila got up, she noticed two familiar faces from before.

"Wait, it's you two!"

Silas gulped. "From yesterday," fighting the fear in his body with bravado. "Where's your leader?"

"He got suspended cuz of you two!"

"This is your boyfriend, he doesn't look all that special."

Camila saw his fists glaring up for a fight, until he opened his mouth.

"Funny thing. Wanna know why no one messes with her at our school?"

"Huh?"

"Because I'm the one who beat down everyone who ever touches her. I've made necks turn, had liquid dripping from people's eyes. Hell, I almost sliced off one of my classmates' heads with a chair," smiling with malicious intent, chuckling quick enough she figured out what he was doing.

"Can I play along," she whispered.

"Go for it," he whispered back.

"What he did yesterday was child's play," looking down at her art. "They call him the dragon, cuz um," how does he do this, staring at the dragon's head. Oh got it. "Cuz he chomped off someone's skin just for pushing me in the hallway."

The two slightly older males took a step back.

"Aren't you two just in high school?"

"So? You college boys aren't as tough as your leader huh? Should I," cracking his knuckles, "give you the same treatment."

"Whoa whoa whoa, we don't have to fight."

"Yeah yeah, we're sorry."

Silas thumb pointed to her. "Tell that to her."

Just as they were about to bow, both duos heard snickers and conversations from onlookers.

"Are they seriously afraid of a kid?"

"What a bunch of losers."

Both of them smacked themselves. "What are we doing?"

"Yeah," cracking his knuckles. "We owe him some payback."

Finding the tables turned on them, Silas and Camila looked around. The younger adults seemed concerned but unwilling to step in, and a quartet of much older figures had stopped their game of dominoes. A lightbulb shined in his brain.

"Alright, but beating us up is boring, let's make things interesting," rushing over to the senior patrons and asking to borrow their dominos set.

"We challenge you to a game of dominoes! Two v two!"
