This interview is with my friend __ otherwise known as Grumbot. They write a lot of Ranchers and Flower Ranchers (I suggest reading Pastel Sunsets, it's one of my favorites) and they're just a fun person to be around.

They're very creative and I hope you enjoy my interview with them!

Question 1: How'd you stumble across mcyt and start writing? It's a pretty weird story actually. Uhh, about 2 years ago, when I was in the DSMP fandom AND the gacha community (I had a channel with like 200 subs- woah) I was watching a reaction video with, I believe DSMP, OSMP, ESMP, and LL, and I was there only for the DSMP but then I was like 'this edit looks cool' looking at an edit of Lizzie's ESMP and that's how I stumbled across life series/empires etc.
I started writing in 4th grade primary? My first ever 'fanfic' was written in Natural Science class and, unfortunately it is somewhere I just don't know where. My first fanfic on Wattpad was a Flower Ranchers oneshot that I never posted and deleted a few months later. The first story I posted here was Rats SMP oneshots and I unpublished it like 2 months ago. (my sister introduced me to DSMP, I was a Minecraft fan since I was a kid, my cousin showed it to me)

Question 2: Do you ever think of doing something else? Maybe writing original stories or maybe even stepping away from Wattpad and moving on with your life? Well I've actually taken a few breaks ofc, and I actually do a lot of other type of content so I don't think I'd be able to just QUIT. Cause at the end of the day, I write for the satisfaction of getting my thoughts out there.

Original stories- I already have some private ones, but I feel like people wouldn't like them at all and I don't wanna trash my page (that's why I delete so many stuff)
I also would be either too engaged in writing or too little interesting to writing it.

Question 3: If you're comfortable with it, would you mind telling me a bit about your home life? Do you enjoy time with your family or is it hard? And do they know about your Wattpad life? Home life is hard, I know people have it worse but living with three siblings is something I don't particularly enjoy- especially when one of them is not even two yet. There is always a lot of arguments, yelling, scolding and grunting, hitting in the house but, as a person who does pretty well in school, I mostly have to spend my days in my room. Although my room is next to the living room so I hear A LOT of all the shouting lol.
I hate my family time and never enjoy it- social anxiety and fear of yelling is the reason why.

They do know about my Wattpad, at least I think so, but I blocked all of them on this account because I'm scared of their reaction, my parents aren't really allies tbh. I'm scared to show my profile to them because everyone knows I'm trans here, but my dad doesn't know I am and my mom just probably forgot that I outed to her or just doesn't think it's a big deal if she uses the right pronouns or not (it is a big deal, dysphoria is a thing)

Question 4: Do you share the fact that you're on Wattpad in your life, such as at school, or do you keep it under wraps? I sometimes share a little something to my friend or to my sibling but aside from that i stay silent. I don't want people knowing that I write, especially if the school is homophobic and I write fruity stories-

Question 5: Any plans for the future with your writing? Maybe any upcoming stories? Yeah, I have an Impdubs highschool AU in mind. Also, to it i will be writing a seperate Ranchers story after a certain event happens in the book

Question 6: Are there any big mistakes that you regret in your life or anything you wish you can go back and change? Probably one of the moments i regret the most is creating an yt channel. It got me pretty addicted to the internet and I would overwork myself just to get some likes/comments whatever. I stepped away from family and spend all day just maling videos. I also regret joining a minecraft server, I met there some cool people but they turned out to be toxic and one groomed me which isnt fun yk.

Also faking my age, if I feel uncomfortable when someones asking me how old I am I will just lie but when the relationship bewteen me and that certain person goes on it just feels really wrong to be seen as a different age. I dont fake my age now but I dont reveal it either :]

I also really regret not spending enough time with my family cause, although they tend to be toxic, I am too and they need love from their family -(•-•)-

Question 7: Are you facing any big struggles in your life right now? You don't have to share any specifics if you do not feel comfortable with it. Uhh..dysphoria- it's always a hard thing for me. Being a boy in a female body is just really confusing and it makes me feel awful. It's like being stuck in a claustrophobic box that you can't get out of.

But I also am being ghosted by my partner, I'm sick and I cough all day although it has been getting better lately. I, of course, am having problems with my family and how I know my mom knows I'm not Christian/religious, she still forces me to go to church, knowing I can't focus and am distracting everybody in sight- I'm also pretty lonely irl and no one wants to hang out with me, dunno why tho lol

Question 8: Are you a fan of slime rancher and that's how you came up with stuff for Pastel Sunsets or did you just make it up and write cutsey scenes? When I started writing I was a big fan, then most of the time I didn't play at all, that's why I lost motivation BUT recently I got back into Slime rancher and that's why I've been rewriting some chapters.

Also yes, fluff is amazing, I love it. And I really enjoy imagining the teo ranchers on the rainbow island just running around and tryna collect flutter and ringtail slimes :3
