(Salaar's POV)

In the morning, I went downstairs to eat breakfast in the dining room. I saw everyone was already sitting at the table. Suddenly, Ammi asked me a question: "Do you want us to take a proposal to their house?"

"Yes," I immediately replied. My cousins chuckled. "Eager, are we?" Samar teased, and my ears started to turn pink. "Bhai is blushing," said Umar. "No, I'm not," I denied. "Yes, you are. Your ears are turning pink," Ahmed added.

(I thought to myself that I had to change the topic or they wouldn't stop teasing me.)

"Baba," I called. "Hmm?" he replied. "Are you not happy?" I asked. "No, it's not like that. I'm scared because I don't know if Asfandyar will agree to this marriage," I admitted.

"Don't worry, I will convince him," Baba assured me. "I need to tell you something," I continued. "Okay, go ahead," Baba encouraged.

"My other friend's daughter is getting married, and her engagement is the day after tomorrow. So, we have to fly to Mumbai, and Alisha will also be there because this friend is my and Asfandyar's friend. Then, we can take the proposal to their home. That's a good idea," I explained.

(Author's POV)

The next day, it's currently 10:00 PM in Mumbai. The Khan family has just landed in Mumbai and are heading to the hotel where the wedding is taking place. While walking inside, Ali bumped into a man.

Man: "Long time no see," the man greeted.

Ali: "Do I know you?"

Man: "Now you forgot your best buddy?"

Ali: "Asfandyar!" Ali exclaimed, shocked.

Asfandyar: "Finally, you remember me."

Ali started introducing the family members to Asfandyar. "Last but not least, this is Salaar, my son," Ali introduced.

Asfandyar: "I know. I don't have a weak memory like you."

Asfandyar: "How are you, Salaar?"

Salaar: "I'm good. How are you, Uncle?"

Asfandyar: "I'm good," he replied.

"Uncle! Uncle!" They heard someone shouting, and they turned to see a boy walking towards them.

Asfandyar: "What happened, Shameer?"

Shameer: "Uncle, why are you standing here? Over there, our princess is worried because she can't find her heels."

Asfandyar: "Her heels are in the trunk of the car."

After answering Shameer, Asfandyar introduced him. "Shameer, meet Ali, my best friend, and his family."

Ali: "Nice to meet you, Shameer."

Shameer: "Asalam alikum," he greeted, and everyone replied with "Walikum salam," except Asfandyar.

"You see, I need to get going to our princess because she's upset that she can't find her heels," Shameer explained before saying goodbye to everyone.

After hearing the word "princess," Salaar clenched his hands into fists. He knew that Shameer was Alisha's cousin, but he didn't like anyone else calling her a princess because she was his princess.
