My parents had asked for me to come over to their house again with Paige for a family time. I thought it was weird, i mean really they never even want to spend time with me.
Hey paige.
Whats up?
So my parents wants to do family night tonight.
And they wanted the two of us to come.
Really?
Yeah.
Do you want to go?
Im not sure.
How about we just go, and if
it starts getting rough and u want to leave
we'll leave, okay.
Okay.
I smile thinking that was sweet of paige. Okay what do i wear?
Skip time to when i get ready.
I was sitting at my small vanity doing my dewy makeup look listening to my playlist. Once i was done doing that i just throw on a white skims body suit with baggy jeans. I put my hair is a messy low bun and put my jewlery and shoes on. I go outside to get in my car to head out there, then see paige in her car waiting for me. I speed walk to her car with a smile.
I open the door, " You didn't have to take me, we could've met." I say then shutting the door.
" Well i wanted to pick you up and thats what i did so deal with it." Paige said in her funny sassy tone of voice.
I laugh playing with the strap on my purse.
We then parked outside the drive way.
Paige looks at me reading my face.
" Do you really want to go in, im sure they wont care if you just cancel." Paige says turning her body toward me in her seat.
" Its fine, lets just go in." I say faking a smile.
We walk up to the door and i ring the doorbell.
My moms answers the door welcoming us into the house.
" Hey you two!!" my mom says gracefully
" Hey mom."
" Hi Mrs. Holloway."
" Honey your daughter and her girlfriend are here!" my mom says with a nervous smile.
My dad then comes down the stairs and greets me and paige.
" So, what do you have planned to do tonight?'' i ask.
" Welllll, since Paige here is such an athlete we thought we would watch one of her games!'' My mom replied.
Paige looks at me. I could tell she was a little nervous.
" So Paige, what game would u want us to watch?" my dad questions.
" Umm, we played georgetown yesterday you can watch that one." paige replies.
My dad turns the game on and i rest my head on paiges shoulder.
My mom looks at us annoyed.
my dad shoots up from his seat," YES PAIGE THAT WAS A REAL GOOD SHOT!"
Paige laughs, " Thank you!"
My mom suddenly turns to my dad and whispers into his ear. I quickly assume that it was about paige.
Paige looked at me and holds my hand.
A couple minutes went by and i just started to feel my heart race faster, and my leg was tarting to shake.
" Hey are u okay?" paige says pulling me in her chest.
" Yeah, sorry i just wanna leave, if thats okay.
I really didnt know why i was starting to feel this way. I have never felt this before. I also didnt know what made me so stressed and want to leave.
" Yeah of course." paige whispers softly.
" Paige stop touching her!" my mom says sternly.
Paige looks at her. But she doesnt stop holding me.
" Honey stop go upstairs." my dad gets up from his chair leading my mom upstairs. Then he comes back.
" Y/n, I-" my dad lets out a sigh,'' I've quickly come to realize that you can love whoever you want and not find love how your mom and I did. Im truly sorry about your mom. Paige your being an amazing girlfriend to y/n, thank you so much for letting me trust you with my daughter. "
Paige nods and smiles with a look on her face saying thank you.
" Okay y/n, we can go now." paige says as we get up from the couch.
I go up to my dad real quick to hug him. I then run back to paige and we go to the car.
Im still breathing heavily and feel anxious but paige has made me feel 100 times better.
" What happened to you in there, are you okay?'' Paige said starting the car.
" I dont know, i think i just started to get anxious because i saw my mom start whispering to my dad about, i think you." I respond.
Paige smiles.
" Come here." paige says pulling me in for a hug.
I hug her back tightly feeling comforted. I start feeling butterflies in my stomach. I kinda have a feeling that i like paige.
She then comes out the hug and look into my eyes.
I feel my face heat up.
Paige then starts to drive home. We werent talking at all. I got the sense that she wasnt nervous, but i sure was. One i got out the car to walk up to my apartment paige suddenly comes to me and turns my head towards her with her hand. She kisses me on the cheek softly.
What just happened.
She smiles.
" Why'd you do that?"
" Do what?" paige replied knowing exactly what i was talking about.
I smile at her.
