Praying For A Sinner - Riverdale Fanfic (Sweet Pea)

We're like this but we're "Just Friends"

When I woke up the next morning I was in the same position I fell asleep in last night, my head buried in Pea's neck and his arms around my torso protectively. I sighed, realizing I would eventually have to get up but enjoyed the moment of warmth and comfort, that was until he woke up not 5 minutes later. Sweet Pea groaned, covering his eyes and feeling around the nightstand for his phone, the sun glaring through the curtains of the trailer was harsh and bright. After a moment he found what me was looking for, "10:00, we have to get up" he said followed by mumbling a string of curses. I grunted at the thought of getting out of bed, clearly neither of us were morning people. Pea got up and made his way out of the room, with a few whines of protest from me. I layed on my back, looking at the celling for a moment before slowly making my way out of bed and to the bathroom. 

After doing my business, I walked into the kitchen and saw him making breakfast. I have no clue where he got the bacon and eggs from but decided not to bother asking. I made my way over to the coffee pot and started it, while it brewed I mixed up some scrambled eggs for him to cook me. When the coffee was done I poured us each a mug, 1 milk and 3 sugars, we drink it the same way.  "How'd you sleep?" I asked a few moments later. "Good" he replied "you?" I nodded my head "Same, you're cuddly" I replied smiling into my coffee. He turned off the stove as I served the food in a comfortable silence. While Pea prefers sunny side up, I would much rather cheesy scrambled eggs, he likes regular bacon and I like peameal. We had similar taste in some things but others we were polar opposites. I suppose that's what makes us such great friends.

When we were done, I occupied myself washing dishes while Sweet Pea showered and got ready for the day, we weren't going to school but we did have a meeting with the younger serpents at 1:30 at the quarry. It was already 12 so we had to leave in just over an hour. There weren't many dishes so I was done relatively quickly and I made my way to the bedroom to get a bathing suit and some clothes. I grabbed a pink bikini top, black bottoms, jean shorts, one of Pea's plaid shirts and my serpent jacket. I heard him call me so I grabbed a towel and made my way over to the bathroom to switch with him and get in the shower, we did so silently as I set my clothes on the counter, put my hair up, tuned my shower playlist on my phone, waited for him to leave and proceeded to undressed and step into the shower. 

I stepped out of the shower, got dressed, put on a light coat of waterproof mascara, and bushed my hair. I had a drawer in the bathroom with the essentials; deoderant, hair brush, hair ties, tampons, waterproof mascara, etc.... I checked the time on my phone, we have to leave in about 45 minutes. I made my way out of the bathroom to where Sweet Pea was on the couch flipping through Netflix, I took the remote and put on Outer Banks as we had just enough time for one episode. 

After the episode finished, we made our way out to our motorcycles and got on. "I'll beat you there" he challenged me with a smirk. I chuckled, immediately reaching for my key to start my bike. He was acting cocky now but we both knew I was the more reckless driver. His bike started moments before my bike roared to life and I followed after him without hesitation. We made our way through the trailer park, waving kindly at people we knew before we got out to the open road leading to the Quarry. This is when the race really starts. You could hear our engines rumble louder as we both simultaneously increased our speed. The road was windy, which is where the recklessness helped. He tends to take the bends more slow and carefully, whereas I pushed the limits of safety and security by turning smoothly at high speeds. Dangerous but exhilarating.
