𝓝𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓶𝓲 𝓚𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓸 𝓧 𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓻
I been working hard hours to make my self a living, yet... I can only afford a small studio. With one bathroom, and one bedroom. I guess is not bad at all for one person, but I wouldn't mind living in a better income apartment.
I scroll through my email, trying to somehow focus in the midst of this crowded room. People walking around, standing on business. Answering calls, grouping before meetings. The clicking of keyboards, the sound of mouse scrolling.
It's hard as it is to get by, in a male dominated field. Sense I'm the only girl, in my department, Most of the guys just throw their work at me.
I aimlessly scroll through, making sure, that what was sent to me, I took care of. When suddenly I see a new one pop up. I sighed in defeat, and clicked on it. "There goes another all nighter." I grunted out, assuming it was more work.
Imagine my surprise, when it was positive feedback?.
"Good work, on organizing the files. I also see, how you manage the finances of the company. I think your statistics work, is flawless. Honestly, this is the neatest work I've seen.
Before we leave for the day, I would like to have a meeting with yourself and the team. Please have paper work done, based on our sales and how we can improve them. You will be presenting, any extra work you get. Please don't worry, just forward them to me in the meantime.
I read the email wide eyed... surprised that my work would even be acknowledged, by a manager. Not happy about having to present... but, A win is a win.
I quickly a dialed the extension number.
"This is Kento speaking?" He quickly picked up, as if he was expecting my call.
"Hello, this is Y/n L/n. I'm sorry for bothering you, but I just saw your email, I didn't find a time for the meeting. Did you have a time, in mind?"
I can hear him tapping away on his keyboard, then sighed. "Sweetheart, you might hate me for this but the only time I have free is after work. I'm going to be in back to back meetings today, so I'm looking at around... 6:30?"
