Theres no fucking way its my mother, it cant be because my phone has been gone and broken for how long now?? I stared at my phone at that text clueless of what to do, it cant be her, how do I even know its her? Plus how in the fuck did she find me yet even my number specifically like woah thats trippy. It's probably a scam anyways or probably random people texting random number just to fuck with them or -

She puts one of her arms around my shoulders pulling me in for a side hug, " oh ill be fine dont worry i have Aaron with me alright?"
I sighed and nodded. " So how am i exactly gonna do this I cant just drop out of school and leave and pretend like nothing happened-"
" Y/n yes you can, youre a streamer and a video creator. And plus you even do a small side hustle with shrooms, pills and you even help fix cars and still get money. Thats hot babe, itll make you big in Texas."
Yeah I stream but im not that out there like how others are y'know but i mean ill get there eventually. " I dont know Lani, but we'll see when we got home soon besides I have editing to do to upload up on youtube." As the bell rung me and Lani got our things together to go home, Ive finished majority of my work now its my own time to finish other work at home.
" What game did you stream?"
" I did drunk mario kart but I raced with my chat, every time i get hit with something I take a shot, i fall off the track i take another shot but if i dont make it into top 3 then i double it or a randomizer from 1-5."

Dad wasn't home so meaning I'll have a couple hours or a few to myself before he gets home. I finished up my editing of drunk mario which didn't take me long because i started it last week and finally shortened it and put the good content in.
I looked back at the message that Elena sent me, should i call or should i text? It took me a while to decide what to do because this never happened to me before. " Man fuck it whats the worst can happen. "
I dialed the number, it rang 5 times, just before I was about to hangup a smooth soft sweet voice answered the phone. " Hello? Is this y/n "
My heart sank, my breathing got stuck in my throat. I didn't know what to say or how to even respond to that, " Mom??"

Elenas POV

" Do you think its really her Maria?" I asked worringly.
" It'll be her trust me just give her a chance to answer back she could be busy with who knows work, school, hustling who knows. But if its not then hey it was worth the shot."
" I dont know its been almost 10 or 11 years -"
" 9 almost 10 amor, continue."
I chucked " 9 years since ive seen my baby girl I just -" my phone started ringing, could it be her? It has to be her its not that late in California, " Hello, is this y/n?"
Nothing, i waited for a moment and if theres no response I'll hang up.
" Mom?"
" Oh my god y/n" i said with joy " oh my sweet angel y/n how are you how have you been its been so long i haven't seen you."
" Hey mom i should be asking how are you and how's everything at home and how are things going."

Y/N POV

Me and mom talked about everything when I mean literally everything, down to when I first moved to cali, what happened to me and dad, even with Jaime I finally told her that when we were young I used to have an insane huge crush on him, even still now I think I do or maybe its just the memories I miss, i even told her about my first boyfriend but we dont talk about because im not ready to speak about it yet. I told her about me making friends with Lani and Aaron she knows that them two are together, i even told her about me being a streamer. She seems happy about it and sounds supportive which makes me happy because at least i know some people are actually proud of me. I haven't said anything about school or anything of me dropping out yet because I dont wanna just unload everything on her.
After a few hours of us talking on the phone i heard my dads car pulling into the driveway, " hey mom i enjoyed talking to you but im getting tired."
" Okay hon, ill let you go but call me or text me whenever you need to okay now were finally in touch always feel free to ask me for anything okay?"
Her words made me feel more happier, i guess mothers always know what to say to their child, " okay mom thank you so much g'night."
" Goodnight y/n."
I quickly hung up and sat in my chair loading up Apex and started talking to my screen as if i was live on Twitch. I heard my door open " so chat what did you guys think of Poppy Playtime? " I waited a few seconds to say something " if you guys like that game make sure to leave the votes down in poles guys."
I turned my head around with a fake smile on my face, " hey dad whats up." I said in a sweet voice to convince him to think i was 'streaming'.
" Oh nothing hon just seeing what youre uh up to, I can see that you're streaming so hello everyone and ill be going into my room."
" Alright dad see ya."
He shuts my door and waited for a couple of minutes to hear his footsteps and door shut, i sighed quietly. " That was fucking close."
I got up and changed into my pjs and layed in my bed, thank god tomorrow its the weekend i can finally just chill from school or well maybe and hopefully i can chill. One more week and Thanksgiving break is here then ill decide if I wanna stay in school or not.

couple weeks later ....
2nd week of December

I pulled into the school parking lot feeling a like shit today, its the week of my birthday and honestly I actually wanted to make some good terms with my dad but what a fucking dumbass i am shit never works. Tears fell from my eyes and it pissed me off i wiped them away and I popped two pills and chugged a buzz ball, i sat in the car for a minute letting the drugs kick in. The more higher i am the less i give a shit even though i never do but hey the lesser the better like as if anyone fucking cares.
I got out the car and walked to my class alone, Lani and Aaron got sick with covid and theyre stuck at home until its gone. So that means im going solo for a while, doesn't feel anything different just used to it and doesnt care.

The day went by pretty quick, i think im sober enough to drive home. I pulled into the driveway and walked into the house, my whole goal was to do a car stream since everyone liked my last one was like about 2-3 months ago. And plus I needed to change my break pads and fix my spark plugs anyways so why not use that as a car stream. Just as I was about to head upstairs to change my clothes for my stream my dad cuts me from going to my room.
This isn't good at all ....
