Astoria Evergreen

Just who does think he is? I surely do not consider him as my husband. I will not rewrite the hundred virtues of a women, a hundred times. He is retarded. I will not follow his rules. I have better things to do than that. He couldn't even show up to the ball but he's angry I didn't. Where is the logic in that? But considering that he did asked me to represent him. No, no Astoria. You don't owe him anything. So what if he's angry at you? You have equal right to be angry with him. He left you after picking you to be his wife. He doesn't respect you and his letters to hell with them. If I receive another letter from him, I shall give him a piece of my mind. I don't know why he thinks so highly of himself? He is just a prince. Maybe I have to learn more about this “prince”. Ernest coughed at the letters I had I gotten. “Sounds like my brother alright. He likes to be in control of everything around him but it seems as though you don't like being controlled.” he remarked. “Who would like being controlled? I did not come with a button did I?” I asked. He nodded. “But that is my brother's nature. He doesn't like problems, loose ends and people he can't control. People he can't find common ground with. He also doesn't have the time to conversate with people. You could say he's a loner. He was inversed in politics, military strategies and training. He read books, studied day and night, trained and I did that with him even though I didn't want to. He is cold as rumoured and you will clash. You'll be fine.” he informed me. “Any idea when he'll be back ?” I asked. “Hopefully in time for I and Delilah's wedding.” he answered. I laughed. “He also needs to make up for missing five of my birthday's. He's missed a lot, even with you.” he added. I nodded.
“I don't think we'll ever have a normal relationship.” I thought out loud. “I can’t blame you for thinking like that. He had no choice. He was ordered by father.” he said. I hated that he was right. I looked away from him. “I shall leave you now. Sleep well.” he said closing the doors of my chambers. Mila came in. “Your Majesty.” she bowed. “What is it now?” I asked annoyed. “Ms Delilah is going horse riding. She has invited you. Please go.” she smiled. “Fine. You shall accompany me?” I asked. She nodded. “Finally. I shall pick out the perfect dress for you. That dress you threw was really beautiful though. Do you think the prince cares for you?” she asked opening my wardrobe. “No, he is just trying to control me before he comes back.” I answered. “Right, I heard about he's controlling ways and punishments.” she warned taking out a light green dress with a floral design.
“But you are a strong woman, an ex warrior. You'll set him straight.” she hung my dress. I nodded at the dress and her remark. “You're right.” I plainly said. I got into my bed and bid her goodbye. I sat in my bed thinking how I was really going to get out of the Palace. A break from being alone most of the time. I had a smile on my face as I thought of that and fell asleep.
The next day I had woken up and gotten myself ready. I had tied my hair in a ponytail. I came out of my chambers wearing my dress and Mila was waiting for me downstairs carrying a hat for me. “You look beautiful your majesty.” she smiled. I smiled back taking the hat from her. We went to my carriage and I got in and she followed after me. It had been a while since I'd properly spent time with Delilah. I was nervous. Why was I nervous? I had fought wars with this woman. She'd been my friend and comforted me in some of my darkest times. Our carriage soon arrived at Delilah's palace. I got out and a part of me was relieved I was out of that palace
