Astoria Evergreen
“Your majesty? Your majesty?” Mila called out to me shaking me. I was dragged out of my vision. I reached for a chair to sit on feeling weak, I rarely ever had visions. They drained me emotionally and physically. A blessing and a curse I would say. What even happened? Why were Ikaris and Ezra fighting? “What's wrong your majesty?” Mila asked. Her face filled with worry as she handed me as glass of water. “I-I had a vision.”I finally blurted. Her face was drained of all color. I drank the glass of water as she zipped up my dress. Ikaris suddenly barged into my room. I had my eyes closed with my fingers touching my forehead trying to comprehend what I'd seen and trying to regain some strength. I looked at him in confusion.
“My mother has asked for your presence at breakfast.” he informed.
“Good morning to you as well.” I replied. He looked defeated. “Sorry.” he simply said and walked away. I sighed and attempted to get up. Mila rushed to my side helping me up. We went downstairs. All eyes were on me as Mila helped me come downstairs.
Ernest, Delilah, Ikaris, a girl I did not know and the King and Queen were at the table. I sat down on one of the chairs and greeted everyone with a forced smile through my weakness and pounding head. The girl whom I knew nothing of smiled at me. “Astoria this is Lorelei. She is Ikarisʼ friend.” the Queen said. I nodded not bothered about Ikaris and Lorelei's relationship.
I looked down at my food. Boiled eggs, bread and some beans, I always asked for that. It was light. I drank my water annoyed by my sudden painful headache. Chatter filled the dinning table and as usual I was quiet. I had nothing really to share that didn't obviously involve me being in a war or Erza being involved in it. I did not want to explain our whole relationship dynamic. It took him and I a lot to to become friends as we constantly bickered with one another. One would say we were siblings but we weren't.
His mother favoured my mother ever since she was born typical, I heard she even supported her when she married my father who wasn't of her kind. They were like sisters my father said then my mother unfortunately passed on after my birth. My father said I have the heart and fighting spirit of my mother and as for gifts that is uncertain. I didn't even finish my food, I couldn't force myself today. As soon as breakfast was over I rushed to my room. “Will you still go to the coronation?” Mila asked. I nodded.
She wanted me to get some rest and go later but I just wanted to leave before Ikaris changed his mind about letting me go. I was like a kid with strict parents honestly. Mila was constantly trying to persuade on at least getting an hour's rest. I was skeptical about it, it felt like a trap. Would she even wake me up in a hours time? No. Why was I even feeling this weak? The vision can't be the only thing causing me to feel like this. I just feel so weak. I sat on my bed staring at the ceiling feeling excruciatingly unbearable pain in my head. My vision got blurry and everything was spinning. I felt my head hit my head and everything turning black as if someone turned the lights off.Light hit my eyes blinding me as I lifted my head. I was helped up as I woke up. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. My vision was clear and in front of me was Ikaris. “Are you okay?”he asked. I nodded. “I'm fine.” I answered. “Well, what happened? Mila said you collapsed. I saw her help you down the stairs in the morning and you didn't even eat your breakfast. You didn't even inform me that you weren't feeling well.” he ranted. “You sir, need to calm down. You're at a twenty, I need you at a ten.” I answered. He sighed frustrated. “Okay, I know I'm frustrating you but I'm worried about you. Are you okay?” he asked. “I'm fine.” I answered. “But you don't look fine. I truly am worried.” he replied. “Then stop looking. I don't want to be a problem to you or anyone. Stop worrying about me. I may be yours legally but you and I have no relationship. We are just binded by this marriage.” I said. He nodded seeming disappointed and left my room. I got up from my bed and looked for the blue ring box
