Rumika

My heart trembled seeing the girl sitting in front of me.

The sun was at the edge of the horizon line but the constant shivering of her eyes was making our hands and feet cold.

Atharv and Yugant immediately ran out of the Mansion when Atharv got the call informing him the exact location where Anjali had been kept Diya.

Knowing that Diya was alive and her bloody twin had kept hidden her, we all were trying our ass off and finally, Diya was hugging her parents after 13 years.

And Anjali, well she had reached her right destination. Mental hospital.

After both brothers left the Mansion she tried to follow them but uncle held her but again she had to prove her mental health.

She tried to harm everyone who tried to go near her.

Tears escaped from my eyes as I wiped them quickly. Diya was not able to speak. Her cries not letting her. She just looked same as Anjali just their eye color differed.

She was very thin and her voice sounded weak and pale. Her clothes were clean but her body had few marks.

Goosebumps rolled down my arms hearing her cries. How could a sister do this to her own sister!

Akshita hugged me and my tears escaped from my eyes as I hugged her back.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Yugant ascending the stairs wiping his cheeks harshly.

I broke the hug and Akshita nodded in understanding.

I quickly followed him upstairs and he immediately hugged me as soon as I stepped inside our room.

He crumbled on his knees and I hugged him back kneeling on the floor.

His tears smudged on my shoulder as he tightly clutched me trying to control his muffles

We both were crying silently clutching each other.

I could not imagine what he had gone through. I had seen him trembling in his sleep. I had seen him bottling himself in the corner and fighting with himself after every nightmare.

I caressed his back and he hid his face in the crook of my neck, clutching me more tightly, crushing my bones.

Neither I spoke nor he said anything. We both held each other, breathing in each other's embrace.

Our tears had been dried and didn't know when my eyes closed and when I opened them I found myself on the bed covered in the blanket.

Dark captured the sky, the full moon shimmered and Delhi's air felt chilly.

Climbing off the bed I looked around and saw him standing on the balcony.

I walked to him and hugged him from behind.

He sighed when I wrapped my arms around him. He held my hands and turned wrapping his strong arms around me.

I smiled when he kissed my crown. I raised my head to look at him and he kissed my nose making me giggle.

Suddenly a knock interrupted us.

"Bhai Rumi..Mom is calling. Dinner is ready."

We heard Akshita's voice from behind the door and I answered.

"Coming."

I hugged him back and he spoke in the comfortable silence surrounding us.

"Thank you."
