The biggest Razorfang I had ever seen passed the boat, the massive creature gliding through the water like a shadow, its sleek form cutting through the depths with eerie grace. Its jaws were lined with rows of razor-sharp, serrated teeth that gleamed menacingly in the faint light filtering down from above. Each tooth was like a miniature dagger, ready to rend flesh and bone with effortless precision. As it moved, the water seemed to part before it, as if even the ocean itself recoiled from the lethal beauty of this apex predator.

"Alistair! Harpoons are ready, should we fire?" "Yes, don't let it get away, that beast has been eluding us long enough!" As the harpoons fired I was proud to be first mate of the Leviathan's Pursuit, Captain Blackfin's ship, a ship designed to kill sea beasts. I was the most popular first mate the Leviathan's Pursuit had ever had and I was sure I would be captain one day. The beast has been stealing our catches and destroying boats for years, but now as it swam away, dragging our boat along, I was sure we could catch it. The captain stepped up on the upper deck "This will be our best catch yet! Don't let that Razorfang get away" I shot a glance at the Razorfang to see it was slowing down. "Stick her again, don't let her rest!"
~A few hours later~
"The beast has stopped completely!" called the captain. "Crank her up!" I called to the crew, who slowly lifted her, pulling and cranking ropes and chains. "I'll stick her myself" I said once it's head was hauled on the deck. I grabbed a needle filled with deadly venom that would paralyze the beast until we could kill it ourselves. As I was walking over a man stepped in front of the beast, causing it to suddenly lunge forward, it's teeth gripping around the man's waist, and with a sickening crunch and a upward flick of it's head the man's legs were flung in a bloody shower on deck, getting tangled in the rigging, the upper half in the beast's stomach. I carefully approached it's blind spot, but just as I was about to stick it I felt a powerful force pushing my shoulders and looked to see Captain Blackfin, the man I had looked up to, the man I had loyally worked for for years, pushing me forward and before I could react the beast swallowed me whole, a fang tearing a gash in my chest.
