Mikes pov

We're still walking around the halls, we just need to make 2 lefts and we will make it to the west wing of the school where the storage room is.
I look over to Will he seems to be struggling slightly with the box he's been carrying for 3 minutes.

"Are we there yet?" Will groans as he adjusts the box for the fifth time.

I smile, "almost...just one more left annnnd.."

"We're HERE!" Will quickly runs into the room and puts down the box sighing in relief.

"Finally, how big is your school?" The brunette asks annoyed.

"How small is your school?" I say teasing.

"Yeah, yeah." Will picks up the box putting it in a safer place.

"I'm guessing Dustin didn't bother to give you a tour?"

"Nope." Will mutters.

I think for a second.. I mean if he is going to help around for the next couple of days he should atleast know where most the rooms are. God Dustin is so lazy, I think to myself.

"I can show you around the west part of the school." I say to him.

"Oh Mike you really don't have to.." he says.

"It's fine you should know where most of the rooms are." I don't know why but my voice comes out as desperate.

"But won't it just waste your time?" Gosh why does he have to be so kind?

"Will it's fine really!" I say laughing a bit "plus I like spending time with you anyway."
Maybe I shouldn't have said that part out loud since now we're both quiet. But it's his smile that gives me reassurance.

Always his smile.

"We should get started then, right?" He says breaking me out of my trance.

"Yeah, we should."

We both walk out of the storage room and we begin going down the hallway.
Most of the rooms we've explored are just classrooms turned into storage rooms until we reach art class.

"I think you'll love this room." I say grinning as I turn the knob.

Will lays his eyes on the classroom, going over all the pretty art work on the walls.

"Finally! A class that's interesting!" He grabs my arm practically dragging me in the class, I don't mind though. I like it when he's happy.

"This is so pretty!"

"Imagine how long this took!"

"So talented!"

He rambles on and on about one single art piece.
I don't even look at it, I don't need to because I already know it's great. I just look at him, at his eyebrows raised in excitement, his eyes wide, and the wild smile spread across his-

I rip my eyes away and just look at the painting. He's right it was great. Really great.

"There's more over here." I say pointing to a picture of a blossom.

"Wowwwww." Will is in awe at the painting, sort of making me want to laugh. We should have just went to the art room first.

"I wish my art was like that." This shocks me.

"What! Your art is already so good!" I say thinking about the painting he made that El...commissioned.

"And the painting you made is absolutely amazing." Will smiles at that.

"Yeah..well I mean El did the meaning so it was basically her ide-"

"But Will, you painted it!" I cut him off, he seems sort of surprised when I raised my voice and I am too.

"I get that El commissioned it and that's great I appreciate her for that but...that doesn't matter right now." Wills big hazel eyes stare at me.

"Will you painted it, you gave it to me. That's what matters right now. Matters to me." My voice begins to go softer and I see his eyes flutter.

"And I love it." After I say that I see Wills cheeks go pink making my stomach drop.
What was happening to me?

"U-um.." I clear my throat "let's just continue with the tour."

Me and Will are just walking in the halls silently. Not one of us has said a single thing since art class. God why did I have to say all those things? Why do I always have to make it so awkward? He probably thinks I overreacted or I'm weird.

I see Wills head look up at something.

"Whats that room?" I see where he's looking and it's the Hellfire club room.

"Oh uh that's just the Hellfire room." I feel nervous, would Will be sad if he knew that I've been playing DnD without him?

"Can I see it?" Before I answer him he starts walking toward the room and I have no choice but to follow him.

He opens the door and inside theres a long table, (like a dining table) and little mini figurines and board games on it.
Out of all the small rooms in the school why couldn't they turn this in a storage room?

I watch Wills eyes wonder over the room.

"A DnD club?" I have to tell him. I have to.

"Uh yea..and-um...I joined it." I see him look down, his hand pinching the tables edge. No he's sad..he's sad..

"Um that's great Mike." He looks back up at me and just from the way his eyes droop I can tell he's sad.

"I'm sorry Will I-"

"Sorry for what? You just joined a club Mike." My heart sinks.

"Will I should have told you earlier, I shouldn't have been shit to you when you just wanted to play and then go do it when your not here." Guilt consumes me.

"Can we just..go?" Will is looking down and then starts heading towards the door.

"Wait!" I grab his wrist, turning him around to face me.

"I'm sorry." I repeat again but slower, quieter. I stare at him while he is still looking down, not making eye contact.

"Mike, it's fine..people change their minds." He looks back up at me making me almost flinch from the sudden eye contact.

"I just...don't want to screw up, I don't want you to be mad at me."

"Mike.." he laughs "I'm not mad at you, and you didn't screw up." That makes me smile.

I look deeper in his eyes, the air feels warm and everything is just fuzzy. I feel like I'm paralyzed under his stare.

"Um.." Will breaks eye contact "we should probably go back, the others will wonder where we are."

I'm still staring at him but then register what he said.

"Oh- yea-yea. Let's go." I realize my hand was still on his wrist and I let go, walking out of the room. My hand now feeling cold from the sudden absence.
