Cassia's POV:
I giggled, flailing wildly on the bed once the bathroom door locked. Not only had I been paired with Spencer today, but I got to share a room with him and was wearing his shirt. I never believed in love at first sight, but god did Spencer really change that. The sound of the bathroom door opening pulled me out of my thoughts. There he stood, his hair slightly damp, clad in a pair of dark grey sweatpants and a thin dark green top clinging to his toned body. I couldn't help but admire him, from his soft fluffy, brown hair and calm eyes to his long legs and toned midriff. I then realised Spencer was staring at me too.
"You ok Spence?" I asked, smiling when he turned his head, his cheeks warm and face flushed. "Y-Yea sorry," I almost wanted to croon at his sweet face, my heart hammering against my chest. I smiled, slipping under the covers as Spencer joined, both of us turning on our bedside lamps. I giggled alongside him as we both pulled out the same book. "You're reading 'Strangers on a Train'?" I asked, watching his face as he nodded whilst responding.
"Yea um, it's one of my favourite books," I smiled, turning to the side to face him. "You know, it's said that the shared reading experience enables mutual teaching and learning both formally and unconsciously. Individual interpretations feed into the collective knowledge pot and understanding, connection and enjoyment grow. New ideas are triggered by listening to those of others." I listened intently as he rambled, his hands moving as he spoke, drawing my attention to his gorgeous arms and fingers.
"W-What I'm trying to ask is, do you wanna maybe, read the book together?" He mumbled, blushing once more. I turned off my nightlight, moved close to him and leaned my head against his shoulder as I responded. " I would really like that," I sighed out, biting his lip happily as he opened the book to his page. I didn't even care that it was on a chapter I hadn't gotten to yet, all I could was get lost in the melodic symphony that was his voice, as it wafted through the air, soft and warm as he read the book to me. I slowly felt my body curl into him, smiling as he leaned his head against mine, pulling the blanket over both of us before whispering something, which if I wasn't so close I would not have heard. "Good night, pretty girl..."
Next Morning:
I snuggled into my pillow, the warmth radiating from it covering me like a blanket. "Mmm~" I hummed, burrowing my neck further into it as I smiled, the smell of mahogany wood, pine, rain and books filling my nose. 'Wait a minute. Why the hell does my pillow smell like-' My eyes immediately shot open, only to be met with the sight of none other than Spencer Reid's chest. I was lying on Spencer Reid's chest. Oh my god. I froze even more when I felt his arm wrap further around my waist. "Mmm, five more minutes~" He mumbled into my hair, his warm breath fanning across my neck. I giggled softly, brushing some of the hair out his face as he slept, his lips forming into the cutest pout I'd ever seen. As I tried to get up, his arm wrapped even tighter. around me.
"Spencer, hunny, It's time to get up..." I whispered out, smiling as he whined, snuggling further into me. "Don't wanna..." he sighed out, his eyes furrowing harshly. I smiled, but was soon pulled out of my trance as my phone rang. I quickly turned around, taking my phone off the bedside desk. I looked at the name, sighing when I saw it was Hotch. "Hey Hotch, yea Spencer and I will meet you guys downstairs for breakfast before going back to the station, no worries. Thanks," I quickly hung up before looking over at Spencer, smiling as he slowly opened his eyes.
Unconsciously I placed my hand on his, giggling when he yawned. "Morning sleep head. Hotch just called, said for us to meet the rest of them downstairs for breakfast before we head back to the station." I explained, watching as he ran his hands through his hair, his eyes closed once more as he smiled. "Okay, do you wanna use the bathroom first?" I nodded, rubbing his hand once more before sliding off the bed, grabbing a change of clothes and heading to the bathroom.
I did my skincare and brushed my teeth before slipping my clothes. I decided on wearing a sleeveless sweater-vest top, the cream colour popping against my tan skin. Pairing with a dark brownish/black chequered skirt, grey socks and my mary janes. I walked out of the bathroom, allowing Spencer to go brush his teeth as I finished getting ready. I walked over to my side of the bed, putting on my necklace, watch, earrings and bracelet.
Looking behind me, I see Spencer slipping on his shoes, his grey and brown striped socks peeking under his dark brown slacks. Slowly my eyes trailed up his body, admiring his off-white button-up, covered by a beige cardigan and woody-brown coloured tie. "I like your socks," I smiled, giggling when he blushed, a small 'thank you' as he grabbed his satchel, handing me my bag as well before opening the door for me.
