I, unfortunately, woke up in a cold sweat. I looked to his side and saw Donovan who was surprisingly awake.

Donovan noticed that I was awake, he waved at him and mumbled"Oh, Wayne..." Donovan sniffled. "Did I wake you? Sorry."

I stretched and sat up. I said, "No, I don't think so." I felt a bunch of bones pop, which felt really good... I groaned in satisfaction. "Are you crying again?"

Donovan blew his nose and said "No. Not yet. Just a runny nose. I'll be al..." Donovan sneezed. He groaned and wiped his nose with a handkerchief. I checked my phone.

"Holy moly. It's 3 in the morning." I grimaced, I am in no way a morning person. Never going to be a 3-in-the-morning kind of person. I thought about the times I had woken up at three in the morning; they were few and far between and I hated them all equally. Donovan yawned. He got up and stretched with a groan and shook his hands.

"Yeah, it's early. Speaking of which, why are you up?" Donovan looked at me. I had no idea why I woke up so early either. Maybe I'm just excited for the orientation? That had never happened before. Maybe a nightmare? Nah, I would remember if I had one...

I shrugged. Donovan shrugged too before leaving our room. I lay back on my bed. I scrolled through social media to try and tire my mind and eyes, but alas... they were restless as if every part of his body was caffeinated except for my soul which yearned for some shuteye. I couldn't get my mind to shut up, my eyes kept hyper-fixating on things... I felt like I was going insane.

I eventually gave in and stayed awake. I got bored and left the room. Donovan and Rupus were having a conversation on the couch. With a smile, I approached the two and said, "Hey, what's up?"

"Nothing much." Rupus yawned. I sat beside Rupus. "I couldn't sleep. Everywhere, there's sneezing... too noisy." I tilted his head. What sound? He hadn't heard any sneezing at all except for Donovan's.

"But... I don't hear anything." Rupus rolled his eyes. "What? There really is nothing!"

"It's because your ears aren't good enough..." Donovan explained before rolling his head back for a sneeze. Rupus cringed in anticipation as Donovan sneezed again. I felt like yelling 'Fire in the hole!' when he rolled his head back. "... Us with long ears have better hearing. Even I can hear it."

I say, "Oh. Cool, I guess."

"No, not 'cool'. I envy you..." Rupus slumped down on the couch and crossed his arms. "I hate this. It's so noisy. And it lasts for like, a week."

I turned to Rupus and asked, "What about Argus? Is he alright?" His face contorted to an expression of pure spite.

"Him?" Rupus groaned out. "Oh, he's sleeping like a baby. How? No idea." Rupus grumbled. I guessed that Rupus likes his beauty sleep. But then again, he does seem to do nothing at all times. Sleeping does constitute doing nothing, and it feels nice too.

"I'll leave you two be. I'm gonna try and catch some Z's..." Said Donovan. I waved goodbye to Donovan as he entered our room... who even says catch some Z's anymore?

I kept quiet while Rupus closed his eyes. I thought that Rupus was weird. He seemed quite hostile—rude at best—and likes to keep to himself. But then again, I was somewhat like that too.

"Hey," Rupus muttered. Wayne turned to Rupus. He still had his eyes closed. "How much do you wanna bet if Argus wakes up from all the noise?"

I stare at Rupus, a little surprised at the sudden question, "... What?" Rupus opened one of his eyes and scoffed. "Uh, well-"

"10 bucks if he wakes up." Rupus offered. I thought about it. This is stupid! Making a silly bet... for what? The satisfaction of getting money from Rupus?
