In The Eyes of Rupus
I woke up to sizzling and the smell of bacon. Goody.
I left my room and was greeted by Argus making breakfast.
Argus noticed me and he smiled, saying, "Oh! Morning, br-!" I stopped him. He should know by now that I hate being called 'brother.' "Rupus. Morning, Rupus!"
"Yeah, and a howdy doo to you too..." I mumbled as he sat on the couch. I didn't even realize it but I sat beside Wayne. "Oh, hi."
Wayne looked at me weirdly. He asked "What?"
"What 'what?'"
He sighed. "I'm not dealing with you. Sitting here and staring at my omelet." He went back to eating his omelet. It's always fun to pick on him.
I stretched, closed my eyes, and asked "I assume I get an omelet too."
"Mhm, definitely." Said Wayne, though, why he would say that is beyond me. I opened my eyes and suddenly Wayne was in front of me, offering a plate with an omelet with way too much cheese.
"What the..." I turn to where Wayne was before and suddenly, Argus is beside me. He's eating like he had been there the entire time, which he wasn't...
I turn to where Argus was and suddenly, it was Wayne. He is super close to my face, almost touching my muzzle. He has this cheeky smile that gets on my nerves "Made this one with extra love, just for you~"
Dumbfounded by how upfront he's being, I ask, "... What?" He said nothing and sat beside me and ate his own omelet as if nothing happened.
I stared at Wayne. What on Hell is wrong with him?
...
Before I could rip Wayne's throat out, I wake up in a cold sweat. I get up groggily and turn to Argus' bed. He wasn't there.
And then it hits me. Bacon. Good grief. I've never not wanted an omelet this bad..
In The Eyes of Wayne
I sat on the couch with Donovan to my left. We were eating omelets that Argus cooked, he's really good with omelets. Yum.
Rupus suddenly comes into my field of vision and I jump at his sudden presence. "Make a noise, dammit... I almost choked on my food." Argus turned and said morning to Rupus. He went back to cooking.
He said nothing and sat beside me. He looked at Argus then at me, then my food. "Jealous?"
Rupus huffed. "As if." He kept looking at my food with a weird look... he almost looked uncomfortable. "Is... how much cheese is in that?"
I turned to him as if he was insane. "... What?"
"Just answer the question. Is there bacon in that too?" What on Earth is this guy on about?
I answered "It's an omelet... yeah, it has cheese. Why do you ask?" Rupus stared at the coffee table. "What is up with you?"
"Nothing. I didn't sleep well." He stood up. "I'm not really hungry..." He disappeared into his room.
Argus sat beside Wayne with a fresh plate in hand. "I'll make sure he eats later." He said. He began eating his own omelet.
"I gotta go shower. Great omelet, by the way." Donovan got up and went to our room.
I turned to Argus. "Is it normal for Rupus to be so..."
"Troubling to deal with?" Said Argus after gulping down a big chunk of his omelet. Isn't his newly cooked? How'd he swallow it down quickly?
