The Forgotten Ones (Book One)

Chapter 2: Meet My Amigos!

~Monday 1965 (6:00AM)~

I have to be at school by 7:30 AM, and In my first class by 7:40 AM (Earth Science).

I washed my face, brushed my teeth, showered, got dressed, and warmed up some oatmeal

~At the bus stop (7:15 AM)~

Megan- "Hey, Selena!"

"Hey, Megan."

Megan and her twin brother Michael live in my neighborhood. We have been best friends since 1st grade!

Michael- "There goes the bus, we got a long week ahead of us."

~At school, in the hallway (7:35 AM)~

Jackson is older than all three of us, but we attend an academy school, which is for 6th-12th grade, and K-5th has their school. Our academy is called "Ahbour Academy."

We are in eighth grade and Jackson is in tenth grade.

"Hey, Jackson! Are you still going to be able to come over to my house after school to help me study for my Geometry test this Friday?"

Jackson- "Of course I can especially since I have my learners!"

~Bell rings (7:40 AM)~ 1st period

~Lunch time (12:15 PM)~

*The group sits together*

*Stacey approaches*

Stacey- "Selena, When are you going back to your country you know... México?"

Stacey, I'm not from mex- *gets cut off*

Megan- "Listen here Stacey, my best friend is not from Mexico she is from here Rhode Island America born and raised. I suggest you go back to your table before things get ugly."

*Stacey- scoffs and walks away*

Stacey is a big bully. We used to be friends in third grade, but for some reason in fourth grade, she completely changed up on me. I think it is because the boy she liked asked me to the fourth-grade formal, even though I declined. After all, I had to be out of town that following week.

Michael- "That girl sucks."

Megan- "A real bit*h!"

~After lunch in the hallway~

Jace- "Jackson, what is up!"

Jackson- "Sup, Jace, Derrick, Kelsey, Emily."

Jace- "I and the gang wanted to break into that mansion outside of town and do some looting. It was burned pretty badly, but it is still standing."

Jackson- "If it was burned then what will there be to loot?!"

Kelsey- "A safe is fireproof. They were rich they most definitely had one!"

Derrick- "My grandmother told me the family was murdered in there! It is most definitely haunted."

Emily- "Right those poor people have to be angry and the killer was never found."

Jackson- "Well you guys can do whatever, you all know that I am so done with that lifestyle. We were too young to be committing such crimes."

"Uhhh, a family was murdered and the killer was never caught? Jackson, you know I love unsolved cases! I have to research and maybe even go to that mansion."

Kelsey- "Selena, you were always wei-... different and that is okay." *says nervously*

*I sighed, crossed my arms, and rolled my eyes*
