~ At the airport (6:20 AM)~

We stayed up late last night, yet we had to get all that "fun" out because we are here to solve a case.

"Alright, guys remember what we are here for. We are going to have to ask around and do some investigating. He could be anywhere and probably not even living in this state anymore, this is just a risk we are taking."

~On the airplane (7:35 AM)~

Rudy- "This is not a very long flight, just a state over."

"Right."

~In the taxi (8:55 AM)~

We had to get a taxi van because there were so many of us. We made it to our motel room. Where would we even start?

Megan- "This A/C feels amazing."

Jackson- "For sure."

I cannot believe I am in a different state I have never been out of the state. Thirty-year-old me is in a different state almost every month.

"Well, I am about to go see if I can find a map in a park, a library, or a phone book and see where all the journalists' companies are.

Jackson- "Cool I will come with you."

"Great"

Rudy- "Be careful we do not know anything about this state, or that man."

Megan- "Right we should look too and meet up with you guys later and see what we can come up with."

"Okay and yes we will be careful!"

We found a park close to the motel. The map only showed the city we were in it was not massive, but it was way bigger than our small town. There is nothing about Business offices, not the ones we were looking for anyway.

"Well to the library we go."

Jackson- "Well we better get going, I would not mind taking a vacation here especially since they have beaches and we do not."

"Yeah, for sure."

We finally found a library, but it was close. "I totally forgot that it was past 9 AM!"

Jackson- "Well it opens at 11 AM, so we should page the others and find a place to eat breakfast."

"Yeah, I am starving."

We finally got in contact with everyone else and met at a breakfast place.

Michael- "So we asked around and a middle-aged couple told us that a well-known journalist named 'Timothy Scott', has his own company called 'Hartford's Journalists."

"Nice, but we are in Wethersfield not far from here. We will have to take the bus or a taxi."

Rudy- "Bus it is, we need to save all the money we can."

Megan- "How are we going to get the evidence we need to take this guy down?"

That I need to figure out, but I always do...

"Uhh, I do not know, but I will figure it out."

Then it hit me. "Jackson, how long does Jobs keep former employees' records?"

Jackson- "Not twenty-five years that is for sure."

"The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) keeps it for a lifetime though."

Rudy- "How are we going to get that information though?"

Megan- "I and Michael have a cousin out here, in Connecticut say may help us she is a businesswoman, so she has connections."

Jackson- "This whole time when we needed to search the city for information on this guy and now you say that?"

Michael- "Well we have not spoken to her in years she had a fallout with almost everyone in our family including her immediate family."

"That is understandable."

Jackson- "Sorry I could not imagine falling out with my family, we Japanese are so big on family, it is such a disgrace to go weeks without even speaking to them."

"Do you guys know where she lives?"

Megan- "We know where she works."

"Close enough, how far."

Michael- "About an hour away."

"That I was afraid of. Whatever it takes we will get there and solve this case."

Megan- "For sure."

We finished breakfast and headed back to the library to see if Timothy Scott had written any books. We could find more information on them to possibly lead us to him.

After half an hour of browsing books, we found a good number of his books with the name of the publishing company 'Scott's Publishing Corp.' "Of course, he had to use his name he is so full of himself."

Jackson- "Right. We know where we need to go when we take the bus."

"Should we go today or tomorrow"?

Rudy- "Today because we are on a "camping trip" remember"?

"Oh yeah."

Even though I was given this gift I still ask why me, why not anyone else in the town? A thirteen-year-old girl went through so much hell for something the law failed to do.
