~1:20 PM~
We decided to go to Scott's Publishing office first since it was closer than Megan and Michael's cousin's job. Not only was this man a journalist, he was also an author and a publisher. He is so successful, yet he had to not only murder my uncle, but his whole family as well. We for sure have to take him and his companies down. He has had his great life for twenty-five years too long and he shall spend the rest in prison.
*We got off the bus*
Jackson- "Okay, so his publishing office should be a few blocks east."
"Here we are. Guys, there is no way we can all go in and I might even have to sneak past the front desk."
Megan- "I think I have a plan that might just work; I will pretend to faint and then when everyone is focused on me you make your way past the desk."
"Okay worth the try."
Megan walked into the office and *fell* to the floor.
Receptionist- "Miss, are you alright?!"
Everyone else waiting gathered around Megan, and I opened the slowly and made my way past the front desk.
Okay, where to go *looks at the floor names and numbers* the head office!"
I got on the elevator and headed to the twelfth floor, of course, he had to have his office on the highest floor.
Why are these halls so empty where are the employees?
The elevator opened up from behind leading to a long hall with not many doors... what are in these rooms?
*A door opened on the left side behind me; I opened a random door and closed it just in time*
That was close!
Strange man in a black tuxedo- "I do not care if her mother is in the hospital, tell her I need that article proofread and printed by tomorrow no later than 2:00 PM sharp!"
Unknown lady- "Yes, sir I will let her know."
What an a*shole that has to be Scott.
Strange man- "Oh and I need you to get in contact with Felix Kylan, tell him I need to meet with me at my house tomorrow afternoon."
Unknown lady- "Yes sir, Mr. Scott."
That is our guy!
Scott walked to the end of the hall and went inside the double doors that had no way to see in.
That must be his office.
Oh sh*t there is a camera right above his door and in the corner by the elevator, I got to get out of her stat!
Once I made it back to the first floor security was waiting for me, I ran and slid under one of their legs! They did not see it coming.
I ran for the door, it was locked! I ran through a door to the right of me which led back up, but there was a fire exit on the second floor!
I ran down the escape and ended up on the side of the building, my brother and friends were all sitting on a bench across the street!
"Run guys run!" *everyone ran into an alley*
*Out of breath*
"Megan, I am glad you made it out!"
Megan- "Yeah I told them that I was just dehydrated."
Rudy- "Well?"
"I took the elevator to the top floor and I heard Scott telling a lady that he needed an article to be proofed and printed no later than two PM tomorrow not by her but by someone else and that he did not care if her mother was in the hospital and also that he need a man by the name 'Felix Kylan' to meet him at his house tomorrow afternoon."
Rudy- "What an a*shole, I wonder why, why his house and not at his office?"
"Right, seems fishy."
Michael- "Sounds like we are about to become spies!"
Jackson- "私は何に夢中になってしまったのでしょうか" (Watashi wa nani ni muchū ni natte shimatta nodeshou ka?) (What have I gotten myself into?)
Jackson was from Sendai, Japan so he knew fluent Japanese it was his first language.
*Everyone looked at him confused*
Megan- "... Well we are going to have to follow him home."
Michael- "With what car Einstein?!"
Megan- "There are houses right behind this street up on that hill, I guarantee you he lives in one, and besides a taxi driver will do whatever for cash."
"She may be right."
Rudy- "Worth the try."
~At the motel~
Megan- "Michael I found Susan's number in the phone book! 'Susan Ashford' Financial Analyst!"
Michael- "Nice."
"Financial analyst, she could most definitely access Scott's work history."
Jackson- "If she will and wants to risk losing her job."
Megan- "Worth the try though."
We stayed in the motel and chilled For the rest of the day. Today was long and busy, but I am so glad that my friends are genuine enough to go through all of this for me.
