Cassian's POV.

Cassian was running over to the Camp's entrance and exit, hoping he wasn't too late. He'd overslept, and his sister hadn't woken him up like she'd promised she would.

His lungs burned as he ran, but he didn't care. He saw a crowd at the exit, and he smiled as he slowed down a bit. He'd made it! Yes!

He made it to the crowd and forced his way through it, out of breath. They were about to leave.

Landon was weirdly not talking to her ecstaticly like he usually did. Not that he cared. He didn't really like him, and he had no clue why. He didn't care as he was kind of off-putting anyway.

He called out to her,
"Wait! Sofia! I've got to give you something!", and she looked back at him. He almost went red just by looking at her. In his opinion, she was prettier than any other girl he'd ever come across.

She was fierce and strong and seemed to radiate a calm, warming feeling whenever he was near her, and it made him all tingly. She had soft-looking lips, and he vaguely wondered how it would feel to kiss them. He mentally slapped himself. He had to focus! He couldn't let mess this up!

He smiled and jogged over, trying to seem as calm and possible, despite freaking out like a lunatic internally. He prayed to whatever God was listening to help make sure that he wouldn't mess this up.

He caught his breath before digging through his pockets. It wasn't in his back pocket? He could've sworn he put it in his back pocket. He patted around quickly before finding it in his front right pocket.

He pulled it out and handed it to her. She looked at it in confusion, and he hurried to explain.
"It's a mini dagger. When you click the button at the bottom, it can change into either a sword or a spear. I've had it for a while, but I figured that it'd be more useful for you now."

She nodded, still looking down at the sword in her hand. She looked back at her friends, who were waiting for her. Lillian looked unbothered, Natasha was grnning a bit, and Landon was glaring at him. If looks could kill, he'd be dead and cremated by now.

"Thanks, Cassian." He smiled, and she walked back to her friends. He watched as they walked out of the Camp's borders, and he stupidly yelled out,
"Make sure you bring it back to me!"

She spun around and gave him a thumbs up, a radiant smile painted on her face. He smiled back and watched as they walked down the hill. Natasha and Landon began bugging her as Lillian laughed, barely hidden by her hand.

Sofia looked like she'd rolled her eyes and shoved Landon. Hebstumbled and almost fell over. He was smiling, and she smiled anyway.

He felt his heart hurt watching her leave, knowing there was a chance she wouldn't be coming back. Why had he said to bring the dagger back to him? He couldn't care less about it. He'd begged a Hepheastus boy to make it for this.

The crowd began to disperse, but he stayed stood still, watching her leave. Before he left, he whispered under his breath.

"Come back to me." Before he turned away and began heading back to camp.
