Chapter 12: Nightmares

        "Li-chan" A voice called as I heard my room door open.

  "G-go-o a-aw-way" I muttered into my pillow, pulling my blankets tighter around me.  It's probably just a maid.

 "Lira?" The voice sounded frightened.

         Suddenly something crawled in my blanket, wrapping it's arms around my waist.

 Now, I was fully awake. 

I tried turning around to see who it was. Their arms tighten around me, making me unable to see who they were. The person nudged their head into my neck, their long hair tickling my neck. I shuddered , I was uncomfortable and worried about  what about what could happen. Surely no one would try to do something because I am one of His Majesty's subordinates.  Right?  

The intruder in question,snuggled in closer wrapping their legs around me. At that moment a long, familiar pink hair strand flew in front of my face. 

        I gave a soft sigh of relief. It's only Kouha-sama, thank goodness. Now that I identified my intruder I narrowed my eyes to see through my curtains. It was still dark out! Why on Earth did he come into my room? I heard him snore softly, his grip on me never lessened. 

I honestly need to sleep! As long as he doesn't disturb that; I'm fine with him sleeping here.  I reached over  pulled my pillow closer. Then, I tried to be a bit more comfortable in his embrace. That failed, the only way it would be comfortable was if I turned to his direction, and there was no way I was doing that. I tried wiggling about, pushing myself a bit farther from him. 

    At that he gave a small cry of alarm pulling me closer. "Don't go, please." I felt a teardrop fall onto my neck. I frowned twisting my head to look at him. He's still asleep. But upon closer exception he  was crying and giving small grunts as if he was in a nightmare. He looked so sad.

Looking at him I felt sorry for him. He looked so helpless, so I flipped my body around. Wrapping my arms around him, I hugged him. I settled my head on one of his arms. He looked a little less distressed and a bit more at peace. 

I slowly started feeling drowsy, I decided to  whisper something to him that he would never hear.

 "Kouha, I would never leave you so you do not have to worry about that."

  I soon was asleep, but in a hazy moment before that, I thought I heard him reply.

"Thanks, Lira. I love you"

Hey guys! I haven't updated in a while, so sorry about that.

 The picture at the beginning is from Kouha Ouji's tumblr if you're wondering. I thought it was awesome so I put it here to show it off, I wish I was that talent at drawing things.

Anywho, here's a progress in their romance, do you think Lira imagined him saying that? Or do you think Kouha said it?

On an unrelated topic,have any you guys read the latest chapter of the manga? What do you think of the Kou Empire's curent situation? And how do you feel about Sinbad's part in it?
