Chapter 15: Curiousity and Cruelty

"A-are-e yo-o-ou n-nerv-v-vou-u-us-s-s?" I asked Kouha as we both continued walking down the hallways of the Palace. Kouha scoffed loudly

"No! Kouen will have the throne! He is the eldest." I frowned.

"W-wh-hat-t abo-out-t H-har-rk-ky-yuu-u? I-is-sn't-t he-e t-th-he el-lde-es-st s-son-n of-f the pre-evi-ious em-mper-ror-r?" I asked. Kouha frowned

"He wouldn't dare." he growled quietly.

"J-jus-st-t b-be c-car-ref-fu-ul, ok-kay?" I muttered. Kouha grinned cheekily looking at me.

"Aw, you're worried about me!" he gushed. I blushed heavily shaking my head. Kouha frown slightly when I started shaking my head. But then he suddenly brighten. "Oh really?" he said suavely, before he gently pushed me against the wall. He stared into my eyes. Pink against green. Two wills fighting against each other. He leaned in closer to my face, our eyes still connect, with his mouth hovering over mine. Oh he's going to kiss me I thought as he continued to come in closer.

I closed my eyes, preparing myself.

All I felt though was a quite kiss on the check.

I quickly opened my eyes glancing around but my Prince was gone.

I dazedly wandered into the servants' kitchen wondering what everything could mean. Could he possibly like me in that way? He did snuck in my bed a few times, and kissed my cheeks a lot, but nothing as intense as he was acting like earlier.
I for sure thought he was going for my lips! I shook my head, trying to get those wants out of my head. He's a prince,damn it!

"Oh my goodness have you heard?" a maid squealed. I stopped trying to listen in on that conversation.

"Yeah, I heard Prince Harkyuu nominated his mother to become empress. " said the other maid. My eyes widened. Harkyuu wouldn't dare betray Kouen like that!
"Yeah I surely thought a fight would break out after the Emperor will was read, naming the Empress as our new leader. " they both shakes their head .

"Things sure are going to change around here" commented the other. I quickly turned around. I need to go check on Kouha! How is he taking this?

But I was met with a white cloth and a masked man. The man quickly shoved the cloth to my face making me breath it in. I struggled but soon I became drowsy, my arms felt heavier. I struggled to keep my legs up with the man pressing me against a door. "Quit struggling" he hissed, and I continued to struggled to spit him before I blacked out.

Hey guys! Its kind of scary how I'm actually updating a week later right? It usually takes me a month to update, but I'm ignoring my responsibilities right now right now so that could explain it. Damn, finals.

Anyway out of mere curiosity what grade are you all in? I just am curious about it, so you don't have to. I'm a freshmen, that lacks the normal freshmen mannerism.
