The Reality of Soulmates

Chapter 2

"So, what do we do now?" Niki asked.

"I'm not sure." Somi answered.

Bam Bam's phone buzzed and he pulled it out. "You have the rest of the evening to get to know each other. Go swimming, make food, play games, whatever you'd like. At 10:00, your hosts will introduce themselves and assign you to your first challenge."

I looked at Eunchae and she shrugged.

"Interesting." Jake said. "I wanna go swimming, so I'm gonna get changed. Anyone is welcome to join me."

"I wanna swim!" Jennie said. Jessie and Wonyoung nodded along, so they went upstairs to get changed. Niki and Beomgyu followed.

"I'm hungry. I think I'll make some food." I told the others. I walked into the kitchen without waiting for anyone else.

"OOOH! I want some of whatever you're making." Eunchae ran after me. Heeseung, Yeonjun, and Minho all followed her.

"Are you a good cook?" Yeonjun asked. 

"I like to think so. I own a restaurant." I spun a knife in my hand and winked at him.

He blushed and smiled. "Well I'm excited to try your cooking."

I looked in the fridge and found it fully stocked, much to my excitement. I grabbed milk, butter, and cheese. Then grabbed noodles and a pot from the fridge. 

"Anyone care for some mac n cheese?" I asked.

They cheered as I filled the pot with water.

I started the water boiling and then decided to make some corn bread on the side. I got out all of the ingredients and started mixing them together. It was in an oven before the water even started boiling. Once I put the noodles in, I found some Dino nuggets in the freezer. I grabbed them and put them in the other oven. Everyone that was in the room just watched as I cooked.

"Should we play a game while we wait for everything to be done?" I asked.

"Yeah." Heeseung said. "I'll grab a deck of cards. Go fish is my favorite game!" He smiled and left the room. I giggled at him and washed my hands.

He came back to the room and started shuffling the cards. We all sat at one of the dinner tables and he passed out cards to us. 

"Everyone know how to play?"

We all nodded and got to playing.

My noodle alarm went off so I went and checked them, deciding they needed a bit more time. The corn bread was ready and the Dino nuggets needed 7 more minutes.

Once everything was all cooked, I started preparing the mac n cheese. I added milk, butter, and a bunch of cheese. Then started it cooking again. It was nice and cheesy by the time everyone was ready to eat. I set a giant bowl of nuggets on the island, along with 3 pans of corn bread. Then took the giant pot of mac n cheese and set it down. It was a 12 gallon pot, so we had plenty of food.

"Let's pray and then we can eat." I smiled at everyone. I quickly said a prayer and then the girls got up to grab food.

"We have plenty so grab as much as you want!"

I grabbed some food and sat next to Chaeryeong at one of the tables. We had 3 dining tables, all of which held 8 people. So 24 seats in total. 

Jennie, Bam Bam, Jake, Somi, and Taehyung all sat at our table. It was fun to learn about them. I learned that Bam Bam is from Thailand and he is high school math teacher. Jake is from Australia and is a photographer. Taehyung is from Daegu and is a fashion designer.
