The Reality of Soulmates

Chapter 5

I woke up and looked around me to see most of the couples gone. Jake was asleep to my right, and Jennie and Chan were on my left.

I smiled up at Jake and admired his beautiful face. I can't believe he's real. One word: gorgeous.

I felt something pull on my hand so I looked to the left and saw Chan holding it.

"What the heck?" I pulled away and kicked him.

He groaned and looked at me. "What now?"

"Why were you holding my hand??"

He laughed. "You held mine, first."

"I would never."

"Whatever you say, Maven."

"It's Mae."

"I like Maven better."

"Of course you do." I sat up and stretched. Then I poked Jake nicely.

"Hmm?" He groaned.

"I'm going to bed. But I'll see you in the morning, okay?"

He smiled. "Goodnight, cutie."

I blushed. Then I gave him a kiss and went upstairs.

The girls were all chatting when I got up there and they said hey as I went into the bathroom.

After getting ready for bed, I jumped on my fluffy blankets and closed my eyes.

"You okay?" Soyeon asked.

I looked at her and nodded. "Just tired. Oh and Chan is a hoe."

She laughed. "Why? What did he do this time?"

"He held my hand while I was sleeping."

Her eyes went wide. "Really? Maybe he likes you."

"Doubt it. He's so mean to me."

"You know what they say, boys like to tease the girls they like."

I rolled my eyes. "Or sometimes they're just horrible people."

"Could be." She smiled at me. Then her face went serious. "I'm sorry for kissing Heeseung."

"It's okay. I'm over him."

"That fast?"

"Well he isn't my soulmate, so I figure we don't have a future together."

She nodded. "Makes sense. He isn't my soulmate, either."

"Well whoever it is, you deserve the best."

She smiled at me. "Night, Mae."

"Night Yeonnie."

The next morning we all filed downstairs. IU was in the living room, reading a book. Bo Gum was in the kitchen flipping some pancakes.

"Morning, ladies!" He said. 

We all groaned a good morning. It was too early to be awake. 7 am. Gross.

"Come have a seat at the table. The boys are all gone, they're doing some bonding activities. So we'll be doing the same."

"Who are they with?"

"Another couple from last season, Crush and Joy." Bo Gum smiled.

IU came over and sat next to us. 

We started eating when Bo Gum clapped his hands.

"It's time for a tea party. But we don't have drinkable tea. Just the tea you're willing to spill. So go."
