Elizabeth's POV:

"Well, this isn't exactly what I imagined when you asked me on a second date at quarter to midnight on a random Thursday" Y/N looks over at me smiling. "What? You don't like it?", she teases. I turn my head away from her and continue looking up at the stars as we both lay on our backs on the roof. She grabbed my hand softly and made my index finger point up to the sky in the direction she guided it to.

She shuffled closer to me so that our bodies were touching, making me take a short intake of breath. She began to whisper in my ear, continuing to guide my finger: "See that star there? The bright one? That's called Sirius. Because that's what I am about you" I released the breath I didn't know I was holding with a loud eruption of laughter. She chuckled. "C'mon, it wasn't that bad" I continued laughing, trying to stop myself, yet failing. "Yes, it was", I nod, shaking uncontrollably with laughter now. She gently pushed me, her mouth wide in a grin, before taking my hand back in hers and pointing it back towards the dark sky.

"The three stars lined up together there is Orion's belt. From that, if you look carefully, you can make out the other stars that complete Orion, also known as the archer" I turned my head towards her as she explained Orion and I admired the way she spoke with such passion. "Remember when you used to have star bedding and a telescope? You were such a dork!", I laughed again, laughing even louder when I saw Y/N's surprised look, topped off with her goofy smile. "You still are" "Wow, Beth! Really going at it today with the teasing, aren't you!" We both chuckled together. "Tell me more", I instructed, interlacing my fingers with hers.

"Well, over there is a group of stars called Ursa Major, also commonly known as the Big Dipper-" "I'd love to see your Ursa Major. And don't worry I'm fully aware that it's big" She turned to me again, a completely and utterly stunned expression on her face. "Good grief, Beth. Are you quite alright tonight?", she asked as I laughed even harder than before, covering my face with my hands as I did so. "Oh no you don't. I want to see your gorgeous face when you laugh", she stated, moving her body on top of me so that she was straddling me, holding my hands above my head. I couldn't help but to keep laughing, as I myself, could not believe that those words had escaped my mouth. She slowly leaned down so that her face was over mine. Our lips finally met again, in a smooth and gentle rhythm, instantly calming me down and shutting me up. After a short while, she pulled back leaving me breathless. "Sorry baby, I didn't know how else to stop you from laughing in my face", she whispered, still close to my face.

Our smiles continued to grow, then Y/N got off of me and handed me my bowl of now heated chicken noodle soup. "Here, eat" I ate in silence, looking up at the stars. I could see Y/N in my peripheral vision watching my every movement, smiling to herself. God, she's so cute, yet so hot and dominant at the same time. "I can't wait for our next date", I breathed out. Y/N looked slightly shocked at my honesty and smirked at my words. "And why would that be?" I turned to look at her, a devilish smirk on my face. I licked my lips then focussed back to my meal; an innocent smile being presented. "Because we have to get to the third date first before you carry out your promise to me" I use my peripheral once again and see her gulp, eyes wide with anticipation. "Well, I won't be keeping you much longer then, Beth"

"Why do you say my name like that?", I ask curiously. "You mean the fact I call you Beth compared to what everyone else calls you? Because that is my special name for you, and only I can call you that", she states, her eyebrows furrowed as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "No, I know that. That's not what I meant. I mean why do you say my name in such manner of tone?" She shakes her head in confusion: "What manner of tone, Beth?" I place my bowl down. "I don't know, Y/N. You tell me." We both look each other in the eyes, not daring to take them off each other. "If you don't know, then I won't tell you until the appropriate time. Beth." Her sentence's meaning is unclear to me, but the finality of the way she states my name at the end, tells me to wait until she is ready to tell me. Because there shall be no finality to our story.
