Chapter Thirteen: Change has Started

I looked at the Mystic Grill with an amused smile on my face, then looked at Finn, who looked on with an expression of distaste, making me giggle and then smile at me.

"Shall we, my love?"

"Yes, let's."

We walk in, and everyone goes slightly silent, we walk over to a booth before sitting down and looking at the menu.
We could feel the stares of the people in the grill but paid them no mind, once our order was taken by Vicki Donovan, who was determined to flirt with a very unimpressed Finn who ignored her.

"I find this place, just as unimpressive as when I lived here."

"Yes, it is drury, but we are here for a reason, and once that reason is complete, then we shall leave and move on."

I said with affection at him. He smiled at me with love and then gave me an affectionate kiss, which I returned.
Once we pulled away, we turned to look around and saw Elena Gilbert, Stefan Salvator, Caroline Forbes, and Bonnie Bennett talking but sending looks at us every now and then.
I could see Bonnie wanted to tell them about me but was unable to so, she kept looking at me pleading but I ignored her pleas, I would save her even if I had to drag her kicking and screaming but thst was a last resort, I could still have some of the Bennett that lived in Atlantis come to take her and train her, see if we could remove that Doppelganger dependency but we shall see with time.
I sat with Finn in a both away from the scooby gang talking with Finn in hushed whispers about what I wanted to do tonight which turned dirty for him, I should of remembered thwt my husband was a raging lustful monster when it came to me then the door opened and I saw our son Rhain walked in who smiled when he saw us then rushed over, he seemed to shock Caroline who was looking at him a little love sick but she suddenly seemed nervous but got up and walked slowly over to our table, we stopped talking and looked at her, I could see the look on Rhain face, he liked the girl a lot but he was unsure about her because of the friendship with Elena.
She seemed to take a deep breath before giving us a genuine smile, then spoke.

"Hello, my name is Caroline Forbes. I got to school with Rhain, I am in the town welcoming committee and thought I would come meet you."

"Thank you, Caroline. we used to live here years ago but left. It's so nice to have such a warm welcome. My son Rhain has spoken of you. Why don't you join us for a bit unless you are busy?"

I said to Caroline with a smile, she seemed shocked that I had said Rhain was my son and that I had offered her a seat, she turned and saw the group shake their head negatively at her, her shoulders seemed to slump slightly but before she could turn she frowned then had a determined look in her face before she sat down with us, I could tell Rhain was shocked but also pleased thwt she was joining us.
For the next hour we sat there and spoke with Caroline about different things, the countries we had visited, we had given her the slightly altered version of certain things we had seen and done but she was entranced but we offered for her to come visit our main home at some point which she was thrilled about.
Finn encouraged Rhain to spend more time with Caroline and then asked her to play some pool with him which she happily agreed too, we left not long after so they could have time to themselves, just as we were about to get in our car, we heard someone shouting for us to stop.
We turned and saw Bonnie Bennett running towards us, once she stopped in front of us trying to catch her breath but looked at me specially.
I could already see where this was going, and I was in no mood to deal with the temperamental little witch and mentally called Unina and Eliana two Bennett witches under my protection to  deal with this child.

"I come to ask for permission to tell my best friend Elena about me."

"No."

My answer was instantaneous, and I saw her face full, but the determination was still there.

"Why?"

She said in frustration, and I could feel Finn set on edge because of it. He did not like people questioning me, let alone children, but I have his hand a squeeze.

"Because you are a child who knows nothing of this world. You have been given a great gift that, if shared with the Doppelganger, will lead to the death of you, your mother, and your grandmother. You think so much of his friendship that you forget your blood. Your grandmother has failed in raising you because of her daughters inability to parent, and your father is a fool who uses work as an excuse to abandon his only child.
You have NO RIGHT to question my judgement child. Doppelgangers are a curse to all those around them, I should know, I was there.
So to teach you, I will send two of your ancestors to teach you."

I said to her, seeing the blows hit her but I would not feel remorse, she needed to let go of a mother that did not want her, she never had to face Mikeal but she still left when Bonnie was five and a father who cares more for himself.
Her grandmother is a favourite even after her fuck ups so she is spared from punishment.
Unina and Elaina came out of the shadows much to Bonnie shock, they took the young witch by her arm and escorted her home were they would begin her training.
I turned to Finn who was taking a deep breath before pulling me into a hug then kissed me with so much passion, I love Finn and Kol and could not wait for Kol to return to us so that I could feel whole again, we got into the car after that and went home for a night full of kissing and hearing Freya tell us how horrid she found it all with the boys gagging inter back ground.

*Sheila POV*

I was sat down looking over my grimores to get myself back into the swing of things when I felt it the wave of power coming towards my house but mixed in was Bonnie, that made my heart drop because I true hoped Bonnie had not offended Arty.
I got up and went to the door, when I opened it I was greeted with a upset Bonnie along with two ancestors I had not seen since I was a small girl then looked annoyed at Bonnie but smiled when they saw me.

"Hello Little Shell, it is good to see you again but we wish it was under better circumstances. It seems our youngest descendent wishes to antagonise are family patron so she can tell the Doppelganger."

I looked at Bonnie with disappointment which made her cry harder, I pulled her into a hug because no matter how made I am she is still my grand baby.

"Bonnie, I told you not too sweetheart."

"I thought I could try, if she saw that Elena is my best friend."

"She is a Doppelganger sweetheart, she may be nice to you but it never last long, when you have something they want they take and keep taking till there is nothing left."

I could see Bonnie wanted to deny it but I ssshhh'd her then sent her to bed before looking at my ancestors who were now in the house reading the open grimores then looked at me.

"We have been asked to help you train her, we will divide the time as we do have families in Atlantis."

"I understand."

I did understand because this was Bonnie punishment, she would be forced to undergo a harsh training regime that would weed her off the magic of a Doppelganger and made sure she would not be forced into vampire business like that blood Damon Salvatore was already trying to do, Arty had already told me of Emily grimore and I would be getting it later but now I had Unina here she could make it easier.
I took a deep breath and prepared for what was to come because I knew one way or another things were going to change.
