Annie had not done a great deal in her life, if she was being honest with herself, she never really had the need, want or drive.
She just works, read books on history or great fictional authors she liked and watched her favourite television shows.
You can imagine her suprise when instead of a truck-kan she was hit by a bus crossing a zebra crossing.
The driver was distracted by a customer from the quick look she saw but she was swept under the bus a second later getting crushed.
She felt a few moments of pain before she felt nothing rolling under the wheels, she heard the bus screech and people screaming 'call 9-9-9' but she could not move to check, she only saw the grey sky looming over her before slight drops of rain started to fall.
She just smiled because she did not feel anything about this life, she struggled to keep going every day because she struggled to feel anything for anyone that was not fictional or interesting.
Her vision was getting blurry now, she felt the cold set in, for the first time in a while she was happy, she was thrilled to go then she felt her eyes close and darkness embrace her.

Annie was unsure how long she had been in the darkness but she did not care much, then she felt something, she felt power flow through her, she was completely unsure about what it was but it seemed to make her stronger.
After focusing on this energy and embracing it she was suddenly tugged in a direction and fell into what looked like a meadow.

She walked around the meadow and saw just lots of tree and grass but then Annie saw what looked like a Greek temple and walked towards it at a leisurely pace.
Once she was in side Annie saw a statue of one woman, she was beautiful, she hand a branch in one hand and the sun in another, she smiled at her before going back out side, getting some branch's then getting some water, she walked to the sun circle then laid her items down and started to thank nature, she was unsure how she knew what to do but she kept doing it till the power from it was done, once she had finished the statue had vanished and a woman who matched it was standing in front of her.

"Welcome, my child."

"Who are you?"

"I go by many names, Demeter, Fauna, Diana, Abnoba but for this you may call me Ceres."

"Thank you Ceres but what am I doing here?"

"I felt you in the void, your soul called out to mine and I answered. I want to offer you something."

Annie was nervous because the embodiment of all things to do with nature was standing right infront of her but before she could carry on a dark figure came and stood next to Ceres, it took Annie a moment before she realised who it was.

"Noba, What are you doing talking a soul?"

"She was in the Void Thanaos, souls in the Void are up for grabs you know this"

He seemed to be stumped for a moment before looking at her then seemed suprised when looking at her soul, she felt he was perving a bit, he seemed to snort before looking back at Ceres.

"Fine, you want her to save THAT family but the time you are looking at is very far away."

"I know but she needs it."

They both looked at Annie with a small smile before taking an unnecessary breath.

"Have you ever watched.....what was it called in your universe......The Vampire Diaries?"

"Yes, its a great show but there is a lot i would change."

"I wish to send you to the universe."

Annie was starting to get a little excited but took a deep breath.

"Alright.....what is the catch?"

"You will be sent six thousand years before the events take place."

That confused Annie because how was she meant to change things if she was long dead and lost to the history books that is if she was ever recorded at all.
They noticed her confusion and decided to clear it up.

"We have decided to mark you as our champion, on your twenty first birthday you will undergo a ritual that will only ever be able to be preformed by you to make you the truest immortal, there will be on doppelgangers or curses for it, if anyone else tried to preform it they would be cursed and it would not be pretty but you will be restricted on who you are allowed.
I want you to work on correcting withcs misguided view of vampires when they are created."

Annie looked at Ceres and Thanatos in shock but nodded, he decided to talk next.

"Life and Death is about balance, give and take. Witchs take all of his for granted and so to balance this we ensured the creation of Vampires and Siphoners but as you saw in the story they would be outcasted or killed without much regret, we task you to save as many as possible."

Annie couldn't believe what she was being offered but she also knew it was a lot of responsibility, but at least she would have time and she would be able to see certain events in history that she has always wanted to see.

"I agree and I thank you both for the opportunity."

Ceres smiled at Annie then suddenly Annie shrunk down till she was laying naked on the floor, kicking her now little legs and arms, she was then picked up by Ceres and wrapped in silk before leaving the temple and stepping into the temple then walking to the forest, she walked for some time before coming to a small city and a small home, she knocked on the door when a young man opened the door and bowed when he saw who was by his door.

"My lady, to what do I owe this high honor."

"Our night together Herodotus resulted in our daughter Aristomache (Ἀριστομάχη). As you know I can not talk care of her but I ask that you raise her."

"A daughter"

He looked so shocked but it did not help that Annie new father was deemed 'The father of history' but she also loved it because by the looks of it, he was also a warlock and had a cheeky dalliance with a goddess.

'Naughty papa"

He took Annie in his arms doing everything to be careful with her, the love and devotion he showed her made her heart beast because in her Old life her parents prefer to go out and party or drink, they did not really care that they had a child at home, she has decided that loved her new father and would do all she could to help him.

"Hello, Aristomache. I am your father."

Aristomache started to talk but it came out as baby babel which made them both laugh till Ceres pulled herself back.

"I must leave but if she ever need me just call, she is over six moons old, she can start eating mushed food."

"Thank you for this gift Demeter."

"Protect our Ari, she will do great things."

Then she left, leaving Aristomache with her new father who she could not stop staring at wide-eyes.

"Lets get you to bed little one, no double your mother has already had a room made."

He was correct and landed her in her new bed both content with this new life of theirs.
