Chapter 11

A Week ago before meeting Mr. Choi

Y/N's POV

At my house, as I kept thinking about my father's case I kept thinking about his best friend who was with him on the day of the accident. I looked at my father's group photo and saw his arm attached to one of the guys' shoulders. I feel that guy is my father's best friend, they seem very close in this photo. I opened my drawer and picked up my father's phone that survived the accident I'm lucky that I know the password of it.

As I turned on his phone I went to his contacts and saw some numbers so I looked at the existing messages that could be his best friend's phone number. I was about to turn it off when I saw a message far below his messages. I opened it and it seemed like it was one of my friend's number judging by their conversation.

"Mr. Choi......." I saved his number to my phone and immediately texted him about my father's best friend.

"I hope he answers" 

..............Back to the Present............

"Salor has romantic feelings towards your mother" I didn't say anything for a few a second as I tried to process what he just said.

"You mean like a love triangle?"

"Sort of but more intense," He said, I frowned 'I feel like as I listen things will be more unpredictable'

"Can further explain?"

"Your parents are childhood friends so it makes sense that they know each other more than anyone in their lives. They do everything together like they have entered the same school elementary to college. When they were in college your father met Salor and the rest of us but the bond between the two is stronger so I'm saying Salor is your father's guy best friend. They were so close but things drastically changed when Salor started noticing your mother. 

He began getting close to her and somehow always bothered your parents when they were just the two of them. He continued to do that even after we already graduated and the most surprising thing is your father didn't even notice anything. No matter what he does to pursue your mother it just doesn't go his way. And I even think your mother knew about his secret motives as we all know that she is very a feisty person. Unlike your innocent father, she notices everything around her and makes sure that it doesn't bother her or her beloved. She's someone who takes action when there is a problem"

"I was wondering where I got my personality from," I said with a little smile on my face.

"(Chuckle) She's also short-tempered and hot-headed unlike your father who is very patient and has self-control"

"I guess I have a mixed personality on that one"

"Well, they created a very special lady then, anyway back to the story. As time skipped your father confessed to your mother it was a very special time for them and we were very happy except for Salor. He didn't handle the announcement well so he was absent when we were celebrating, we contacted him but his excuse was he was busy. But we all know except your father the real reason. Time skip again Salor acts as if he was not affected at all he still hangs around with your father and still trying to pursue your mother but secretly. Again he failed and your parents got married and your mother got pregnant with you. We notice that Salor slowly trying to accept his defeat he is already making progress but a disaster happens that makes him a different person"

"A disaster? What is it?" I ask wanting the answer but am also afraid of what it could be. I saw him gulp before he continued.  

"Your mother was delivering you, but the doctor said that there is no chance for her survival as she lost so much blood trying to get you out alive. We were there outside with your father as the doctor said everything. Your father broke down and cried so much, after delivering you and transferring you to another room. We all ran to the room where your mother was and saw her lifeless body lying on the bed. Your father cried so much with grief and regret calling your mother as he kept apologizing. We were all just standing there crying for our lost friend but I noticed Salor looking at your father with so much anger and hatred, and after that, he was never the same again. 

He still hangs around with your father like he is still close to him still smiling and laughing but as soon as your father turns his back his expression is replaced with very dark eyes that are full of negative things. Time skip again, they had their last drink together just the both of them they were at the bar one of my coworkers was there too and he told me that....."

"Wait, you just said it was a rumor?" I said slightly suspicious.

"We agreed to just treat it as a rumor so that we won't dirty your father's name and reputation"

"I see" I looked down digesting everything.

"My coworker told me that they were just quiet for a while but suddenly Salor punched your father and said all sorts of stuff towards your father. I don't remember the exact words but he shouted at your father blaming him to be the reason who caused your mother's death. Some of the security guards showed up and stopped them. After that we didn't hear anything from them for a week then news came shocking us. It was your father's accident and death. As I said Salor didn't come to the funeral and we haven't heard anything about him since after the fight. That's all I know, did it help you or did I just make it worse" He said with a worried tone of voice. I looked at him with a warm smile but my eyes were forming some tears. I took a deep breath and answered him.

"No, It helps me a lot thank you for the information Mr. Choi now I know the real reason for this dilemma................

It's because of my existence"
