At which point you're free in this infinite place,

To venture your way into star-studded space.

Look up long enough and these feelings you feel,

Will turn into thoughts about making them real.

'What'll it take? Will it cost me a ton?

Just how in the world can I get this thing done?!?'

But no need to stress because lucky for you,

I'm fairly well versed in the thing you should do:

To fly through the sky, past the moon and by Mars,

Construct your own rocket and shoot for the stars!

Though sounding quite tricky it's not all that hard,

To build your first spacecraft at home in the yard.

As long as your mindset embodies can-do,

Your cosmic ambitions can quickly come true.

By using my guide this magnificent feat,

Won't only be easy but fun to complete.

Just follow each step as I've laid it out here,

And soon you'll be known as a new rocketeer.

To get the ball rolling you'll want to combine,

Some sound engineering with stand-out design.

The blueprints you sketch should be one of a kind,

While keeping the function desired in mind.

Designed for long distance or hitting high speed,

Your art should account for whatever you need;

Including some paintwork that makes it unique,

And captures the eye with a techno-mystique.

The outside all done on your spacefaring ride,

It's just as important to plan the inside.

It needs to be comfy while state of the art,

Be full of machines and yet stylish and smart.

You'll therefore want gadgets with luster and shine,

And gizmos with light-strips that blink when online;

Some fun, flashy fabrics on well cushioned seats,

And maybe a fridge filled with vacuum-sealed treats.

Up next to make sure that it's not just for show,

You need to decide on what makes your ship go.

You'll want something clean that's in easy supply,

That gives you full power each mile that you fly.

So try rubber bands or a grandmother's love,

Or bottled-up rainbows from clouds up above.

Whatever it is just pick something you trust,

To fuel all your ventures with maximum thrust.

Step four on the list of your building to-dos,

Is finding materials fitting to use;

Stuff easy to work with to do what you've planned,

From things in your household already on hand.

Like maybe build parts out of small plastic blocks,

And panels you cut from an old cardboard box;

As long as you choose something suitably strong,

The life of your ship should be strikingly long.

At this point you've reached the most technical part,

As planning is done and construction can start.

It's here that your dreams can at last become real,

From pictures and plans to a ship you can feel.

You may need some staples and plenty of tape,

And maybe some glue as your rocket takes shape;

A process you'll find is surprisingly fast,

As every next section fits right on the last.

So now for the time and the energy spent,

Your craft is mere points from a hundred percent.

While making for quite the magnificent sight,

It needs to be named to be ready for flight.

Consider Adventure or DayDreamer 1,

A name from a story or smart little pun.

Whatever your choice, just make sure that it shows,

A bit of your spirit wherever it goes.

Your rocket now finished you're ready to fly,

To distant locations way up past sky.

So do a quick dance and remember the date,

Then ready for launch as the cosmos await.

Because of your vision, once far away space,

Is suddenly more of a tour-able place.

You started a dreamer then great engineer,

And now you hold rank as a new rocketeer.
