It was our turn to get on the Ferris Wheel and I was not excited. We sat down and put the safety bar down. I guess Matt knew that I was feeling uncomfortable, "Are you okay? You don't look like you feel good." He said rubbing my back. "Yeah, I just have a" "Really bad fear of heights, I know." He said finishing my sentence.
"Don't worry. The ride will be over before you know it." He said moving his hand to my thigh and rubbing it with his thumb. I felt even more uncomfortable now. Yes, I do like Matt, but he doesn't like me back, so I know that this is all out of comfort.
As the Ferris Wheel started moving, it shook, more than it was supposed to. I started crying and moved closer to Matt. He held me and tried to get me to calm down, and it was working. When I was fully calm, Matt leaned back, lifted my chin up and just looked into my eyes.
"Spencer, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Your my best friend and I could never ask for a better one, because there isn't one out there. I love how you freak out over little things, how you don't care what people think about you, how your eyes light up when I'm with you. Everything about you makes my heart melt. I don't know why I haven't told you sooner, but Spencer Victoria Tate, I'm in love with you." He said looking at me with the most sincere eyes the whole time.
"Matt" was all I said before I pulled him into the most passionate kiss we could give to each other . When we parted he just put his forehead one mine. "Will you be my Girlfriend?" He said smiling. "Yes! 1 million times yes!" I said then hugged him.
For the rest of the ride we just held hands and talked about Magcon. We were both so excited, then I realized that I haven't even asked my mom yet.... But for now that's not what I should be worrying about.
We got off of the ride and just we just walked around the carnival and played a few games.. Finally we found a bench to sit on. Total, we had spent 3 hours at the carnival and decided to go home. I was really tired so he drove us back to my house.
We walked in to find my mom sitting on the couch drinking coffee. Ew. Me and Matt both hate coffee, so we made disgusted faces at each other. I told Matt to go up to my room because I needed to talk to my mom alone. As he was walking up stairs I took a seat next to my mom on the couch. I waited until I heard the door shut to start talking.
"Mom, there is something I need to ask you."
