Ngumisi si Sebastian. "Kaya asahan mong maniniwala akong walang kinalaman si Genevieve, bakit kakaiba ang kinikilos mo simula nang magpakita siya ulit? O bakit noong nag-suggest ang tatay niya na magpakasal kayong dalawa, hindi ka tumanggi kahit na may fiancée ka na?!"
Napaawang ang labi ni Vaughn sa galit. "I see what's going on now…You're jealous, aren't you? You're been sharp with me ever since Seraphine came into the picture. If anyones been acting strangely, it's you, Sebastian."
"What are you getting at?" Inis na tanong ni Sebastian.
"I asked you to be Seraphine's bodyguard because I trusted you, but just what of mine has my sworn brother been eyeing?"
"Wait, what is that supposed to be mean?" Kunot noong tanong ko.
"Exactly what is sounds like. Come clean now."

Ibinagsak ni Sebastian ang kanyang paa, mapanganib na lumalakas ang kanyang boses.
"And what if I was?! You don't love Seraphine anyway, so why should it matter to you if someone else does? She's a fine girl, and she deserves a man who'll treat her right…Someone who appreciates her, cares about her, shows her some damn affection…"
While I'm reeling from his sudden turn in the conversation, ikinawit ni Sebastian ang braso niya sa bewang ko at hinila ako palapit sa kanya.

Kumakabog ang puso ko sa dibdib ko. Tinulak ko siya palayo at umatras.
"Seb, what are you doing?!" Gulat na tanong ko sa kanya.

Bago pa ako makapag-react, binawi ni Vaughn ang kamao niya at sinuntok si Sebastian sa ilong. Umuungol siya at umatras, nakataas ang isang kamay sa mukha niya.
